Maria looked to the road, then nodded. "Sure, might as well get going..." she mumbled. Her attention turned to the buildings behind them. "Probably my sister." she said, shrugging it off. Maria slowly walked away from the group to reach the road.

The large white male nodded to Klarity, then looked to the female. He looked back to the buildings, then shook himself off a bit. He offered a small smile to Maria, dipping her head to him. He walked after her, when she headed out. His ears perked, thinking he heard a bark, but it was still a bit aways and a little hard to hear.

The tan and darker young one smiled when Mary acknowledged him. He watched her take her pups, glancing to Alessa a moment. He glanced at Henry, and grinned. Yipping, he pounced on Henry's paw and nipped it, then licked the underside of his jaw, something some wolf pups sometimes do to show thanks. He grabbed a fish, lying down with it between his paws.

The red and whitish-silver mother-to-be nodded at the other female, tilting her head at the way she sat. She heaved a breath as she sank to the ground, feeling the need and urge to rest. She perked her ears, tail curling then lying against the ground. "Yes, I am alone...Unless you count unborn pups. You've met hostile dogs?" she asked, allowing her gaze to go to and follow Donnie a moment. Shaking her head, she looked to Spencer once more.

Maria grunted as she waddled down the road. She was in pain and she didn't do well with pain. "So, where's your mate?" she asked, looking to Lito. She figured he had to have a mate to have a pup.

She woke up after a little, still exhausted but she wanted to keep moving , she kept going, her mate behind her until she heard Zip and another pup!She rushed towards the voices, snake beside her, to her surprise, she saw her son with a female pup, "Zip!Who is this!"Nectar growled sternly, snake did too.

He turned at the sound of his mom "Mom!Oh she's sky, she helped me so no need to worry", He scurried to his fathers side, "Sky, this is my father,Snake"he barked proudly

The large white male tilted his head, as he glanced to the white female. He ducked his head, looking a little bit sheepish for a moment. He lifted his head up once more. "I...don't have a mate. I found Skyy all alone, seemingly abandoned by her parents. Um...What about you?" He looked up again, and barked "Skyy?" wondering if that had been her before.

The small pup huffed a bit, and she flinched when a strange female and male adult appeared near them. She lowered herself a bit, not wanting to fight any adults...She'd pretty obviously lose, and what would happen if Lito found them and attacked them, and even Zip? She looked to Zip, when he spoke to her again. "H...Hi..." she yipped nervously, perking her upright ear at a bark in the distance. "D-Dad??" she barked back, really hoping that was him.

The tan and darker young one huffed a bit between bites, fish still held between his paws. He lifted his head away a moment, to let out a yawn. He flicked his tail back and forth as he started to eat once more.

The red and whitish-silver mother-to-be tilted her head. She stretched out a bit, relieving some of the strain and slight pressure, and let out a small yawn. "I'd love to stay with you, but I need to be with my 'son'. You could come live in the warehouse? The others aren't so bad, and I think there's more than one building. You two could stay in one of the other buildings, if you don't want to be around others. But first, I need food and water."

Maria shook her head some. "I was retired to have show-quality puppies." she said, "When the virus hit, they had him put down before they died. I didn't really... love him, like my sister and Henry love each other. But I did feel sorry that he didn't get a chance to live." Maria didn't really consider him to be her mate, just the father of her pups. She stopped when he heard Lito call for his pup.

Donnie was quick to growl in disapproval. 'Others' meant more mouths to feed. It meant more useless dogs to slow him down. He didn't need such incapable filth around him. Uneasiness crossed Spencer's face for the first time, even she was uncertain about meeting new dogs much less cooperatively living among them. That expression soon changed into an calm smile as she thought out a simple plan of action. One Donnie probably wouldn't agree with. Her eyes danced to Donnie who frowned deeply but looked away in silent understanding. "Okay. We'll get food and water on the way to this warehouse or whatever. But whatever food and water we find is ours. We'll share with you and you only" she said, voice strong but not harsh. It was instinct to be direct when taking the lead position in sheep dog herding and, in this case, she was taking the lead between she and Donnie.

Her focus back on Spencer, however when she spoke it was to both of them. "They are capable of hunting and finding water too, in case you were thinking they'd be useless..." There was a bit of a bite to her words, clearly directed at Donnie. "Fine, fine, share only with me along the way." She made a small sound as she heaved herself back up now.

"It's hard to explain." said Maria quietly, "He was sweet and maybe if he was out here with us, I might've chosen him to be my mate. I didn't hate him or anything." She shrugged a little as her pups kicked. "They put him down because they didn't want him to live like this." she said, "Having to fight for resources."
