Autumn I ♀ I Sniper, Allspice, Wisteria

"Well, there has to be something there to spend the night in. Otherwise you wouldn't consider it. If not, maybe dig a hole? There.. has to be food too. Rabbits, squirrels, mostly mice and voles.. right?" she suggested politely. Pretty dogs were always mean it seemed. Lots of pretty dogs in the pound she used to be in were mean. She could see a little bit of nervousness in that dog, just as she had a little in her. Then she understood. "I just want to live to see the next day. I'll leave and die if I'm not wanted." she barked.

Sniper shifted his paws as he glanced at Allspice, "Sure." he replied quietly. The other dog stood up so he lowered his head and narrowed his eyes, "She can come if she wants to. Let's go." He started walking away, but when he turned around he noticed the undead slowly approaching them. This is bad... He nudged the other dog's (Wisteria's) shoulder, signaling it was time to leave. The wolf-looking dog definitely looked like trouble, but Sniper wasn't going to judge upon breed. He nodded to her, "You can have my share of the prey this time but don't expect food to come easy, you'll have to hunt for yourself. Same goes for the rest of you." He pointed to the meat he left beside him with his muzzle and started walking towards the forest, careful not to make too much noise as he entered the leafy substrate.

Autumn I ♀ I Sniper

She turned her head to leave after a brief moment of silence, when the black dog said yes. She nodded in response and felt internal joy flutter in her heart, but it was quickly replaced with fear when the smell of rot grew stronger in the air. He and the others looked nervous, and she followed suit behind them as they left. She picked up a little chunk of meat, and stopped herself from eating it then and there. She followed the group into the forest quietly, her naturally light feet barely causing any sound at all. One reason why she was so good at hunting mice. As they progressed deeper, she said nothing and followed without question. If she really wanted to earn their trust and allow her as a part of a pack, she'd have to abide by any regulations they set.

Echo dashed quickly through town. She was excited. In her mouth dangled a rabbit and she couldn't wait to get home and eat it. 'i knew going to that forest was a good idea' she thought to her self. AS she reached her home she noticed the smell of a dog. Hiding her prey under a pile of garbage. "Who's in my den?" she called out. She didn't want to scare the dog off yet she didn't want it to steal her den. She approached her den as her fur stood slightly. She has a strange fear as she crept close and she could feel a whine coming. As reached the entrance she called again. "who's there?"

Reiner had wandered near the outer edge of the city for most of the previous night, and had decided that where trash was, there would also be food. Now here he was was, crouched in the shadows of a dumpster, his eyes locked on a thin rat that poked through the garbage. He started forward silently, only to have a rogue trash bag in his path startle the rat into fleeing into a hole in the wall. Ren drooped, his stomach was entirely empty and would continue to be so. Almost silent footfalls drew his attention to a connecting alleyway. Down the way was the silhouette of another creature making its way towards him. It didn't smell like the crazed humans did, but Ren didn't move forward.

Akiron had been walking nonstop all day, but she couldn't stop, the thing was tireless. She paused and twisted to see a trail of parted grass slowly advancing on her. She turned and put on a burst of speed, the corpse only had it's upper torso so there was no way for it to catch up quickly. She ran for a few minutes before she even thought of slowing down. There, ahead there where the shapes of two dogs nearing the outer cement buildings. Wondering why they'd want to go directly into the hands of the dead, she started trotting towards them.

Allspice could smell the uneasiness coming off of her three companions, and new that getting to know them would be tricky. Perhaps they all are just scared because of this outbreak. I mean, I am too, of course, but... I hope it doesn't hinder my ability in making friends, not enemies. She gathered her bearings and the group left the area in which they had all met. She had decided to trot alongside the newest addition to their small pack, a wolf-looking dog. Although she had to jog a little to keep up, she wasn't tiring out, which was always nice. Occasionally the pack would have to stop, whether it be from tiredness or the sounds of the dead drawing nearer, but they kept a moderately fast pace.
I wonder how long it'll take to find a suitable shelter. I hope we find one soon, because the sun is quite low, and this awful highway is hurting my pads. At that thought, she looked up at the setting sun. The sky was orange and pink, and the sun was practically hidden. Allspice drew more anxious the longer they walked.
Sniper, who was taking the lead, seemed like a good candidate to ask about their estimated time of arrival. He seemed to be their leader, afterall. In her own opinion, at least.
Sniper? How long do you think this highway is? Because judging by the sky, we have barely a few minutes before the sun is completely down... I don't want to be eaten alive by the dead as soon as I've finally found some companions.

Sniper tilted his head, he had no idea what the husky cross meant so he ignored the question. As soon as there was another question he sighed, "We're almost there." Rustling the leaves as they walked, the newly made pack slowly made their way to the forest. Sniper slowed to a halt and sat down on a mossy patch, motioning for the others to get some rest as well. He lay down on the moss and stretched out, long walks are harsh, especially on an empty stomach. His nose was close enough to the ground to notice a strange smell, someone must have buried something here and forgot about it. As he dug into the ground to find it his heart sank. "It's meat but... it's crawling with maggots." He grumbled, burying it back underneath the freshly dug dirt. "I don't think we're gonna find food anytime soon. We should keep moving after we rest a while."

Allspice lay down on the soft moss, thankful for a rest. Although it was not the safest spot, All felt as though she could lie there forever. Her pads hurt quite a lot, but nevertheless, she wouldn't complain.
She noticed the Aussie duck her head down, and scooted closer to her, although not too close. She didn't want to get into her space.
All had noticed how uneasy the poor thing felt, but she hadn't wanted to push anything. But now, with finally a time to rest, she felt like it would be appropriate. At least, she hoped it was.
Ar-Are you alright? I don't mean to pry, but you seem upset and uneasy and, well, I... um... She trailed off, not knowing what else to say. She really wanted to make the other dogs around her feel comfortable with her presence, and so far she was failing, but she wanted to try. For a very long time she was hated on, and for once, with the impending doom of an apocalypse, she had thought she'd have companions who would be alright with... well, how downright odd she behaved.
She felt relly bad about herself all of a sudden, but didn't let that cloud her mind. She mentally ridded herself of these thoughts, and went back to focusing on the distressed Aussie.

Autumn I ♀ I Open

Autumn followed and was relieved that they stopped. She sat far adjacent to them, still slightly nervous as to what they could do. She looked down at the patch of moss she sat on and let her ears fell back a little. Here she was, getting too deep in thought again. She looked back when the smaller brown dog walked up to the pretty-eyed dog. She looked.. sad. Well, she understood that the weight of the world had to be on everyone's shoulders. Thinking about your death, or the apocalypse, or your past humans could upset you. It upsets her a lot. She partly wanted to walk over there and ask what was wrong, but Autumn was well aware that her own social skills were long gone. If she tried helping anyone out when they were sad, she'd only make it worse. She let out a light sigh and fell into the pitfall of deep thoughts. Maybe she only weighed them down? Maybe "pet" dogs were weak and pointless. If only her humans were here. If only Lolly was here. It was all interrupted by a sneeze, and her shaking her head. Autumn looked back briefly at the three, before lowering her head in slight shame. Hey. Be thankful. You aren't dead, are you? You have a chance to make friends, right? She threw her head up to look at the sky, which was nearly asleep in the dark.

"I'm Echo the owner of this den" she stood in the entrance trying to make her shadow look big. "There won't be any problems, if you tell me why your here." She curled her tail up in a dominant way hoping the dog couldn't smell her fear. "I don't mind you staying, but as I said my den. I want a reason for you to stay."
