Many, many moons ago there was the four seasons
that came and passed every few months. But now,
all of that has changed. If one were to travel far
enough out into the unexplored part of the world,
the would find four packs of wolves, with four
completely different territories. Every pack lived
within one of the seasons, and kept to their
territories (most of the time). It was one of the
rules they all agreed upon. They were all trying
their hardest to survive and keep their pack in
good shape, but that soon became difficult. Prey
was becoming scarce, some territories more than
others. The four areas all had very different
climates. One was snowy all the time, these
wolves had very thick coats and had gotten used
to the harsh weather. The second one had different
colored leaves littering the ground, with cool winds.
The next was always very hot, with colder streams
to lap up. And with the last, flowers were fully
grown within the grass, and the trees were
cherry blossoms, with beautiful pink leaves.

Rules

1. All of Tess' and the site's rules apply. They come before mine.
2. Only create as many characters as you can handle.
3. Sometimes I may take a little while to fully update the front, so please ask me on the disscussion thread first if the role you would like to play is open.
4. Try to read through the roles before choosing one, my roleplay has a few extra roles, ones that wolf roleplays typically don't have. You might find something you like better.
5. Hate the characters, not the people roleplaying them.
6. Try to keep the number of wolves in each pack even, I don't want everyone to just be in the winter pack.
7/ Let us know beforehand on the discussion thread if you won't be active for a while. If you don't post for two weeks then I will kick you out. Upon return, if you were kicked out just send me a PM and explain if something unexpected happened and you didn't know so you couldn't tell us about it.

Alpha (1-2) - Usually there are two within a pack, although sometimes there is only one. However there can only be one of each gender holding this position. They are normally the active mating pair. They are dominant over all the rest of the pack and what they say should be considered law within their pack. They take an interest in what goes on in their pack and if they've been away for any length of time look to the Beta to learn of what goes on in the pack. (Leaders)

Beta (1-2) - There may be one or two in a pack, one of each gender. They may or may not be mates and are second in command. When neither alpha are around they take charge as it is the responsibility that falls to them. The Beta is there in order to test the Alpha in skirmishes which are never truly serious and results in little to no damage of either creature. Although there may come a time when the challange is serious. (Second in Command)

Gamma (1-2) - Those holding this position are usually if not always the oldest and wisest of the pack. Through their stories and their phrases they pass on to the others within the pack their wisdoms. They delight in telling stories to pups though sometimes what they tell is just legend, but still each story usually has some sort of moral to it. At one time they may have been the Alpha and usually that is true. However the current Alphas may put others here should it seem right to them. There is usually only one or two who fill this position and normally only one of each gender, especially if they were a prior Alpha pair. Those who hold this position are much respected and loved by the rest of the pack. (Elders)

Delta (1-4) - They are the messengers of the pack, the go between among the allies and sometimes even the axis. They risk their own lives by doing so, but it is their duty and must make sure that those who need to know are told. Sometimes they work in conjunction with the Upsilon. Those who seek this position must be agile, patient and have an even temperment while speaking with other packs. (Messengers)

Zeta (1-3) - The war general of the pack. They take direct orders from the Alpha in case of a war. The Alpha may be the one to declare war, but the Zeta leads the army and plan the plans for war. They also train new recruits for position as a Eta and Eta or more to take his or her place in future. Normally there is only a single Zeta, but if the populace is high there can be as many as three. (War General)

Upsilon (1-4) - The Upsilon are the scouts or spies of the pack. They go into other pack territories in order to find out what's going on. Afterwards they report back to the Alpha and tell them about all that they have seen, even should it just be that pups have been born. They will also report to the Zeta if they were asked to find wolves of their own for battle, or they report to the Alpha pair. (Scouts/Spies).

Theta (1) - They are the lead medics within the pack, therefore it is they that the Iota aspire to be. (Lead Medic)

Iota (1-2) - They are the medics of the pack, knowledgeable in herbology. They have vast knowledge upon what plants and other natural resources will help cure and heal others. (Medics)

Phi (1) - They are the pup sitters of the pack and delight in teaching the young that which they will need in the future. However if a pup gets lost or hurt they are hold accountable should the pup have been under their care at that time. (Pup-sitter)

Psi/Subordinate (Unlimited) - These are the subordinates of the pack. Usually new memebers or yearling wolves start here and must prove themselves before they are given a better ranking. However they need to be careful and achieve a higher ranking least they become the Omega. (Subordinate)

Omega (1) - They are the scape goats of a pack. Often they are picked on by the other wolves and are last to eat. Sometimes things may become so bad that they might even up and leave the pack, though there are those who remain to stick it out. (Lowest Rank)

Pup - They are the young usually born into the pack under the age of one. Depending upon morality and the attitude of a pack as well as the food that is aviable the number of pups in any pack may vary.

Winter Pack

Faye caught Ash eating his own kill, and believes that it should have been thrown into the food pile, especially because the food was becoming more and more scarce. She got really upset with him and freaked out, especially when she caught him whispering to another she-wolf in the Summer pack to meet him back where she saw them. Her trust in him has been lowered and she wants to keep a close eye on him. Ghost went out exploring in the Summer territory to find some herbs that didn't grow in her own.
Eclipse went out into another territory, without anyone in the pack noticing. Cordelia had rose from her den mostly before anyone else had. She had overheard the alphas speaking at some point and learned that they didn't have an alpha or beta pair in the Summer pack.

The alpha paced around the camp, working on something to tell the members of the pack. She wanted to make sure that she got her point across, and when she did go up to speak to them, she only got half of what she wanted to say in.
The winter's where they lived were becoming more harsh very quickly, and the prey was becoming scarce. She had seen a few rabbits,
and birds on the ground just dead. She didn't know how old they were but by their scents it seemed rather recent. She thought that maybe it was beginning to get worse for their prey, and possibly they were trying to make their way to one of the warmer territories.
She had come up with this while in her den, because she normally found them near the Summer boarders.
Faye sighed and decided on what she was going to say, so she began making her way towards the meeting area.

Lilith had gotten the chance to get some free time, so she had come to her den, to organize her supplies for easy access.
It had become rather messy over the past few weeks and she had not had the chance to make sure that it got cleaned. One time,
she spent ten minutes looking for something when a wolf needed help, so this was necessary.
She happily placed everything neatly in separate piles, depending on their purpose. One was for cleaning out wounds, another was for things to numb it, and one other was supplies to keep it from bleeding.
She wasn't really paying attention to anything that was going on outside her den, but was completely focused on what she was doing.

The brute was smiling and his tail was thumping on the grass as he talked with Nikkita. He thought she was fun to be around, and enjoyed spending time with the fae. "So, how is zeta working out for you?" Beau thought the duties of it was cool,
but liked the idea of his job more, so he was happy he had it.
"Upsilon is cool, it's always fun seeing others' camps. Spring has flowers everywhere, autumn has red leaves covering the ground,
and winter has a very thick layer of snow. But Winter is a bit more challenging, because I stand out, as my pelt is black."

Ash got up of the white ground he whimpered it was cold. Snow kept falling on his nose out in the camp when he was trying to rest so he proceeded into his den. He sat down in his normal spot a small hole under a group of trees, (den 2) as he walked away from camp he noticed Faye pacing around in the cold winter snow. Ash could still see her in the distance so he decided to yell and see if she could hear him. "Faye what are you doing." He yelled in a gloomy voice, he wasn't depressed but really thats what his voice sounded like. He didn't think she had heard him so he whimpered getting out of his hole that he somehow made warm. He walked over to her she walked away so it made it harder for him to catch up. He sneezed loudly probably frightening the fellow alpha. "Hi Faye." He still said in his yet gloomy voice. "What are you doing pacing around in this nasty cold snow." He studied her body she looked tense her nose was pointed upward, her legs moving fast. Probably looking for food he imagined.

The she-wolf sighed and turned around to face the male alpha. "Our food supply is running very low, and I feel as if they are running off into the other wolves territory. The upsilons need to do some sneaking around and see if this is the case. I must speak to the pack about this." Her voice was calm.
"I will explain more when I call the pack to come and meet... I've decided that I will talk about it tonight after we finish eating."
She smiled at the brute and reassuringly said, "Don't worry, I'm sure we can come up with something, everything is.. hopefully.. going to be okay."

The alpha looked at his fellow alpha. "I'm sure we'll find food," he said licking his paw. "I'll go look for some." He headed out in the snowy forest hoping to find a squirrel or bird or if lucky maybe even a hurt baby dear. Anything was good right now, he knew Faye was right they needed food and fast. Ash crushed the leaves under his feet as he walked. He couldn't see them but he could hear them being crushed. They were under these mounds of snow. He stumbled upon a black bird sitting gently along the bottom of a oak tree covered in snow. He used his lightest footsteps stepping up behind it not in eyes view. He pounced on it quickly puncturing it wing so it could not fly away. As I said before Ash is smart at attacking, after puncturing its wing he killed it. He let the body sit for a while as he carried it away with his mouth. He saving his food and using it responsibly the blood dropping from the bird stained the snow a bright red color. He walked farther his stomach starting to growl. He wanted to save it for Faye but he just couldn't. He put the bird on the ground licking it and then eating everything leaving just the skeleton of it left. He saw the summer season camp, he didn't dare to go into it but he saw a rabbit. If there was one thing he wanted right now it was food. He didn't dare to go into though. He wasn't exactly scared but he didn't want to start trouble over a freaking rabbit.
