Alessa woke up and spun around in the carrier, clearly confused. "You're okay..." whispered Mary. Alessa sat down and shivered some. "Why are we locked up?" she winced, "What's going on?" "I think there's a dog outside." mumbled Henry. Alessa flattened her ears. Maria felt her pups kick again. "Yeah yeah, I know." she grumbled, "We'll eat soon." Mary heard footsteps and the back of the truck opened up. The woman grabbed some chicken and a noose, then cleared a spot to easily get Suko into a carrier. She returned and bent down again. "If we wanted you to suffer, we would've left you." she said, "Or we would've grabbed you and make you get into the truck. But we're talking peacefully, aren't we?" The man took the chicken and offered it to Suko. "We'll get the rope off, get you cleaned up, and then you don't have to worry about getting hurt out here." he said.
