"I wouldn't worry about it." said Carter, standing up and stretching. He looked over to Mary and got a noose around her. "Just a quick bath." he said. Mary sighed, but followed him. Henry had fallen asleep with his newborns. Alessa flicked her tail some and took a deep breath, finally making some kind of noise.

[Night Troubles]

Mae was about to pass out, but kept going. "I-im Mae Blue Shields." She choked out, "the caretaker." She squeaked, feeling the trip loosen and drop her to her knees. She gaspt for air as it filled her lungs, almost choking on it. She looked up at the dog, witch had collapsed on the ground.

Zero felt her vision blurring as Mae said her name, dropping her immediately. She felt herself fall on the ground, losing her consciousness. She soon passed out.

Mary had a strange feeling something was wrong, but she couldn't put her paw on it. "Something seems off..." she murmured. "With what?" asked Carter, "It's just a bath." "No, not that." answered Mary, "Something with Mae." "I know she's a little... odd, but she's good." said Carter. He led her down to the grooming station. "I think something's wrong." blurted Mary, stopping at the door.

Mae sat up, her neck and limbs throbbing from the dogs grip on her, already showing red marks where zero had held her. "God..." She murmured as she walked up to the dog, seeing that it was starving. " Oh. " she picked the boxer up, the dog feeling quite light. "You poor thing." She set the dog down and took off her hoodie and wrapped zero up in it lightly. She looked over at he skateboard, happy it was ok. " that's a relief. " she sighed, wincing as she spoke, her neck aching.

"I can't just let you run off." said Carter, shaking his head. Mary lowered her tail some and frowned. "C'mon..." he sighed, letting Mary lead him outside. She smelled the air as she followed Mae's scent.

Mae stood up, her legs aching and sat back down. "I'll rest here for a bit." She sighed, stroking zeros head. " that's one ability you to there lil doggie... Wonder how you got it. " she murmured, "you look so young, maybe about one of two years at most." She guessed.

Mary pulled Carter into the city and stopped as she found Mae. She panted some, as did Carter. "You... okay?" asked Carter, gasping for air. He took out his inhaler and took a couple puffs.

Mae glanced over at Mary and Carter, "Yea. I m fine, a few bumps and bruises, but could you check this dog out?" She asked, standing up and walking towards them. " I don't think she's alright. " she unwrapped the dog from her hoodie and revealed her underbelly, revealing her ribs being hugged tightly by her skin. "It looks like she hasn't eaten in a while." She guessed, her neck still hurting when she spoke.

"Y-yeah..." wheezed Carter, "Can you carry her?" He looked around for a few moments as Mary walked over to the dog. She sniffed her and frowned. "I doubt she'd live another week." she said, "It's great you found her."

Mae nodded at Carter and looked down at Mary, "yea... Though she was half strangling me to death, but that's normal." She smiled, walking over and picked up her stuff and swing her backpack into her back. Looking back at carter, she frowned, "are you ok?" She asked him.
