Alduin soared in the sky at a leisurely pace, his ebony scales seeming to absorb the suns rays. He surveyed the ground below him, searching for a hint of prey. He looked to his right as he heard the piercing shriek of a hunting hawk and he veered towards it and it saw him and it flapped quickly away from him. He scented the air, hoping to detect some sort of prey because he hadn't hunted in about a week. He caught nothing and growled quietly in irritation before taking a deep breath and punching through the thin veil that was his unique magic, "Las Yah Nir!" He shouted, using the command as a last resort, and he was impatient. He saw only the tiny misty forms of birds and small rodents, and he swept over the forest at a faster pace before he reached a stone outcropping, and noted a large form, just as it faded away. He glided above to get a better look at what he saw and he was momentarily blinded by silver scales, and wobbled in the air. He hissed in irritation and nearly collided with a large pine tree as he tried to regain balance and ended up colliding with it. Alduin let out a snarl in annoyance and pain as a few large splinters of wood wedged themselves between his thick plated scales. He managed to land somewhat softly and clenched his jaw with a hiss as he attempted the move, the shards jabbing into his soft skin underneath. He sat up and looked around and saw the source of his momentary blindness- a silver dragoness. He shook himself with a wince and lashed his tail in frustration, especially at making himself look foolish.
