Spring is here, and with the new season, a hope reborn. A hope for restoration, after the Winter War left the land scarred and the woods divided. A rogue wolf, known as Volkov, with a brutish personality and a desire to wreak havoc has planted seeds of deception throughout the land over the last year, which resulted in the ruination of relationships and destruction of tight knit communities and a resulting season of chaos. But now, Volkov has been brought to his knees and has retreated for a time. Now for a new season. A season to rebuild and restore relationships, or perhaps for new ones to blossom. Volkov is not dead, and this season of peace may indeed last for a single Season. With the scent of trouble lurking somewhere in the shadows, will the community be restored, bonds be reestablished, and will they be strong enough to withstand what the new year might bring, or to stand up to Volkov and his army if he should return?

The animals of Violet Hill have been divided, and have warred against each other the entire winter before; but with the new Spring they have a chance to pull together. Not all will take the opportunity. Traitors will rise and join Volkov's army, while meantime the community will reunite. As bonds are formed in the radiance of Spring, The fires of Summer, and the returning Winter will put them to the test. It's a test of the heart.

The Setting

The setting takes place in a land that feels the extremities of each season, in Spring, the flowers bloom abundantly and radiantly. In Summer, the heat is brutal and tries even the strongest souls. The Autumn time paints the leaves with gold and amber, and the Winter is the harshest of all. Animals of every species coexist in this land. Large mountain ranges line the horizon, and the trees divide the woods from the plains. It is a beautiful land, but one which has suffered great damage over the course of the latest Winter, only time will tell if this land will survive.

Many of the wolves in this role play belong to Volkov's army. There are however, good wolves :3 They are known as Catori. The Catori Clan is the force that will lead the Good animals of Violet Hill against Volkov's army.

Geography of Violet Hill

Catori reside on the North End of the Forest, along with most other Good animals. This area is divided from the South End by the Great Plain.

Volkov's Camp is in the swamp lands of the South End of the forest, know as the Far South. It is a smelly, rotten land inhabited by traitors, and the foulest of creatures belonging to Volkov's army. Prisoners of the North End or the Great Plain also reside there as slaves of Volkov, held there by force or blackmailing. Volkov's is a despicable kind...

the Great Plain or the Great Divide is inhabited by animals as well, mostly desert animals. Many of these animals remain impartial to the War.

The Rules

•No foul language.

•No godmother/Mary sues/ or what have you. Your character cannot be invisible and overpowered. Keep it as realistic as possible given the plot.

•Violence is probably inevitable as this is a story or Good vs. Evil but remember - Tress ' s rules apply

•Romance is allowed, but since this is a role play involving animals, keep it G. please, for the love of pete (any mating/birthing fade to black , Yada Yada )

•NO POWER/UNREALISTIC APPENDAGES i.e. wings on wolves AND NO MYTHILOGOICAL CREATURES i.e. Dragons, Unicorns, Pegasus',etc.

•I would prefer if you were to describe your character in writing. If you would like to add a picture ALONG with your character description, you may do so.

•Anyone wishing to play as Volkov the Wolf must be the first to message me.

•Please be as Literate as possible. If you are to join, you are expected to write a reasonable amount per lost. No two line posts or posts that are impossible to play off of. I myself write a fair deal, and would appreciate if you do understand.

History:
Tala was the only pup to survive out of all the liters born to the Catori Clan alphas. Her clan has for many years been the target of Volkov, who sought to recruit new soldiers for his army. He never succeeded, as the Catori were deeply rooted in their principled ways. Tala, who is next in line to be alpha, was of the more recent targets. Volkov had stolen her away at a very young age, hoping to mold her from an early stage to be just like himself. But all attempts failed, and Volkov badly mistreated her.

When Tala grew old enough, she eventually bit back and tore a good chunk out of his left ear. Soon after the war started. Volkov abandoned Tala, leaving her for dead. She was able to find her way around and was reunited with her Clan. Her family and many of the other animals fought Volkov off, who abandoned his army and disappeared.There were many casualties that Winter, and several prisoners taken by Volkov, Those who survived knew things would never be the same.

Now Spring has arrived, though the War is not over, and wounds are still fresh. The animals of the North End are bitter, having undergone a state of division when they used to be so close to each other. Many fled to the Great Plain to escape the hard memories and the loss and try to start again. Tala, as the up and coming alpha, is now more determined than ever to help bring about peace in her clan as well as in the community at large. As a new alpha, she must convince those gone astray that freedom from terror comes at a price, and that the prisoners of war must be rescued. The time will come when she will have to lead them in battle once again, when Volkov returns with vengeance.

Appearance:
Tala's fur is a deep chocolate brown color with lighter patches here and there, and is short and choppy. Has a tannish brown underbelly. Her eyes are a clear grey, with a hint of blue - her most stunning feature. She has a rather short muzzle and her nose is a rosy color, and speckles of the same rosy color sprinkle her muzzle like freckles. She is smallish in size, but is strong and sturdy. The pads of her paws are the same color as her nose. She has scars that are hidden under her fur from being abused by Volkov as a pup.

Personality:
Tala is kind and loving, with a heart of gold towards her own. however living with Volkov for almost three years made her strong. She had to learn to fend for herself and to survive. She owes her newfound inner strength and passion to protect others to this experience. She is extremely loyal and protective. When it comes to defending her kind, she has the heart of a lion. If one wishes to cross her, they should proceed with caution. Tala is experience beyond her years and is a serious fighter. She never backs down. Her name is notorious among Volkov's camp, being their main target, but her strength and perseverance demands their respect; no matter how spiteful they feel towards her.

Appearance: Therian is a grayish-brown rat with a destinctive blaze on his face between his eyes, which are black, he has rather small ears, the left one baring a large gash he's had since birth, he is rather small for his species and his tail is almost longer then his body, he has a thin agile build and long sharp teeth that can cut through flesh if necessary.
Personality: though Therian is small and not the best when it comes to combat, he makes up for it with his intellect, he is a vary observant and curious rodent who at times can be vary mischievous, and sly. he would rather use reasoning then engage in physical combat, only fighting if absolutely necessary. Despite this, he still has a deep devotion for protecting the ones close to him.

Affiliation: Mercenary (if that is even a thing)

History: Raven was once a loner until he found himself able to be a spy for those who pay the highest price to him, being the greedy bird he is, he decides to take pride in his name, being his species name. His past is a troubling one, one he does not wish to speak of and working well for higher pays. He will tell you this however, he started working as a spy when he learned to fly due to his family not having enough to keep the family strong, so... with him accepting spy jobs all over the place, he has earned himself a well known name across the kingdoms.

Appearance: His appearance is constantly changing, as he makes temporary dyes and paints to color his feathers so he is not as easily recognized when he is working, also making molds of different bird beaks to mimic the design even further, however, his normal appearance is that of many other ravens, black feathers, a devious yet curious look in his eyes beady yellow eyes, and a long, black beak.

Personality: He has a quiet nature and is more solitary than other ravens, living by himself now as his family is no longer around and his two siblings left to do their own job, shunning him for the wicked nature he now has, he is very intelligent when it comes to plans where he works alone, he is greedy when he is given an offer he can't refuse, and he seems to be a tiny bit insane in the head, speaking to himself at times when he is alone, as if having half of a conversation in his head. If you make friends with him, which is rare, then he will see to it that your every spy-related request is finished, for a price.

Additional Notes: He lives in the more forest-like area, where the trees are dense, you can find him if you simply follow a trail of quartz stone that he laid out long ago so others can find him, as there are multiple quartz paths through the forest along all sides of territories, it shouldn't be to hard to find him.
(A poem, no it doesn't rhyme, but I just came up with it on the spot) this is how he was heard of, a poem he made up to make sure the younglings don't go looking for him as if he was some fairy tail, or to scare the kids away if they actually looked for him... maybe he does have a heart?

History: His family was caring towards him and helped him achieve his dream of being a fighter, now he stands among the ranks of other fighters, hoping to join one of the armies that are forming.

Appearance: As a peregrine falcon, he has a lean and slim form with well kept, red-brown feathers, piercing black eyes, and a sharp focused look, sharp and long talons that can make a nasty wound.

Personality: A fairly quiet personality, needing to speak up when he has to or is given a chance. He finds enjoyment in angering his opponent before he fights them, keeping a calm demeanor as he teases his opponent, making jokes and insults before attacking. He is overall very friendly if you are on his good side, betray him once and he will no longer be kind.

Additional Notes: Peregrine Falcons are known to mercilessly attack creatures over 3-5 times larger than them, especially when protecting their nests.
