Nix looked over the black male. "No, you didn't. But I never asked, did I?" The white female sighed as she shook out her pelt. Upon hearing a howl, she grew excited. "The hunters got something." her tail wagging.

Infernum Gave out a quick howl to the pack to tell them that they were on their way. The hunter glanced at Gladiator, who just shrugged at him as the trio moved towards camp at a painfully slow rate.

Aer perked at the howl from the hunters. "Well well, What have we here? A big kill? Hopefully." The grey elder lay his head back down as he waited.

Senex had made it home, a little burrow by the beach. His form of safety. He could tell that the water had almost reached it, but said nothing. The old red-cream male limped into the den, smelling his own familiar scent. He was at peace once more as he scooped up a small mouse. A whole barrow of them lived in his den, seeking shelter. He ate a few, but for the most part they were barely noticable. Slowly, the male lay down and fell into a light sleep.

There was that name again. He knew she had been involved with another wolf before him, she had mentioned him a number of times and it was clear he had meant a great deal to Raven. There was so much about her he didn't know. And then there was the pack, deep in his heart he knew he could never do anything to betray them but what if it came between them and RavenShadow? Rowan quickly put the thoughts out of him head, afraid of the answer. He looked at the sleek black wolf and his expression softend affectionatly and he gave a half smile, "Before today I didn't think you even knew I existed. And yet now..." He thought about when she had looked up at him during the storm, she had looked so alone and vunerable. "Why did you choose me?" He asked, "There are plenty of other males better than I." He said.

The alpha got up immediately at the sound of the hunting party's howl. They had been out a while and he had been contiplating send out a search party to go get them. "We could all use some fresh prey!" He said, his tail wagging a bit, grateful to have his mind taken off what was going to happen once everyone was in camp. Besides, most of the day's catch had become frozen in the storm and he was just happy they had found somthing so soon after a storm.

Chestnut
Her mood was dark but the fresh blood of the buck in her jaws as she helped to drag it to camp it was hard to dwell on her wounded pride when they were returning with such a prize. Still, progress was slower than she would have like. Even with the three of them, it was difficult dragging the buck through the snow.

Blossom
The puppy let out a a loud high pitched squeaky sound of joy, "Wow! Really! You Really think so! Like a deer! How big is a deer? Do they really have trees growing out of their heads?" She asked in wonderment.

Ravenshadow looked up at MountainAsh. "Well.... i can see that you..... you understand me better than any male..... you are unique." she smiled softly, but thoughts flooded in. It was beguinning.

Deloris closed her eyes once again, seeing Ravenshadow and Mountain Ash. They were together. *I love you, MountainAsh.* she heard Raven say. A few minutes later, Raven began to growl and act strange, suddenly attacking MountainAsh. Deloris awoke. "MountainAsh!" she whimpered and dashed out of her den. She followed their scent, running at her top speed. She saw them faintly. "RavenShadow, MountainAsh!" she yelled, still running.

He smiled back at her, a little embarrassed, "Well, I'm not sure about that but I'm going to try!" He said affectionatly. Then his ears pricked forwards as she startled to twitch and growl. "Raven? RavenShadow? Are you alright?" He asked. Rowan's mind raced, had the buck struck her in the head? Then he took a step back in suprise as she turned on him. The beta's exspression held no fear, only a look of deep hurt as he tried to avoid serouse injury. Then with a hearty bark of suprise he was thrown backwards near another wolf. The wind howled but when he landed out of the reach of the black wolf there was no sign of what had thrown him.

He looked over as one of the hunters ran out of camp saying the name of his brother. The alpha felt a sharp shread of fear come over him and was about to get up and follow her when he felt a presence in the back of his mind made him stop in his tracks. The spirit lingered a moment in front of him, though he could not see so much as just know it was there before it turned and disapeared. Four prints were in the top of the snow were it had been, they looked to be those of a deer, but were far larger then any deer alive in this age. With a deep shaky breath he looked up to see Mahdra looking at him. Upon seeing the question in his eyes she shook her head. With a swish of his tail he turned back to Nix. The black wolf's blue eyes were dark. He didn't like trusting his brothers safety if he was in trouble but somthing had changed and there was no time to waist.

Mahdra
Mahdra walched as the alpha stared intensely in front of him at seemingly nothing. Seeing him look at her nodded and wagged her tail goodbye to the puppy and the elder, "I'll be seeing you later." The old wolf told them told them then made her way over to the two alphas as Idrah took off, flying in the direction the hunter had gone. "I suppose you want to start." She yawned and stretched "Thanks for the rest, who wants to go first?"

RavenShadow snarled at herself. "Run..... Rowan." she barked, feeling Darkla rising inside her. She whined, trying to control her other personality. "I'll..... be.... alright.... just..... GO!" she said, knowing what he'd say.

Deloris gasped, jumping between Darkla and Rowan. "Do as she says! She's protecting you!" she begged.

He lay stunned in the snow were the strange forse had pushed him. The beta shook his head and got up, staring at RavenShadow. "I won't run." He said in a low even voice, his eyes flicking around to see whatever had thrown him but when he saw nothing focused back on the black wolf behind the hunter. He wasn't afraid, were the beta lacked in stealth attacks he made up for in one on one. Rowan had shifted from himself to full beta just as Raven had shifted from loving to becoming somthing eltse. He wasn't sure what this was, who this was for that matter. He knew so little about RavenShadow dispite what his heart was telling him. If this was the Darkla she spoke of, he wanted to test his strength against hers. To judge for himself what he was up against before returning to camp and endanger the pack. "Move aside hunter. If I fall go to ScarletHart." He growled, it was curouse how Diloris knew to come, though he supposed she could have been out on a hunting patrol. "If this Darkla wants to kill me so be it. I'd rather know my enemy then turn tail and fear shadows." He evenly. MountainAsh hoped Raven knew he didn't want to hurt her, only that if they were to be together he needed know exactly what this thing was capable of.

Nix looked worried for a second, then she placed her head on Rook's shoulder. "He will be alright. They will protect him." When the elder approached, wishing to start, the white female turned to the elder. "I will go, elder Mahdra. I have pups to get back to soon, so I can't sit around and wait." The former dawn alpha shook out her pelt and glanced at the den warily. What she was really thinking was, she had to protect the pack, and make sure whatever this was, was safe for everyone.

Infernum glanced at the other two. "Let's hurry up and get this thing back to camp." He mumbled around the buck. "I'll be speeding up now." He warned as he suddenly used more strength to pull the buck along, feeling as the beta sped up to match his pace.

Laren bobbed in the water. She was exhausted, starving and half frozen. She was wondering why she was still alive. Her paws were tightly gripped on the wood. She had managed to catch a few fish out of luck to keep her alive, but she thought it was the end now. She had always been in sight of land but was too exhausted to try and get there. The waters were smooth, and the wind cold. She sniffed the air, using a great amount of energy to do so. Her breath clouded in front of her. She passed out.... She woke up with a jerk as she was falling off the half in the water board. She climbed back onto it. She could hardly move. The board carried her in and then out, away from the land.

Senex heard a splash, and within his light sleep, he awoke. The red-cream male limped outside to the beach, to see a wolf. A familiar smelling wolf. She was.... from his old pack? He growled, deep in his throat, but saw her condition. The elder sighed, then lept into the crashing waves. He was a bad swimmer, he had never been that good, but with his bad leg, he could manage. It was easier that walking with it. The older male struggle to keep his head above the water, and as he grabbed the wolf's board, he growled under his breath. The former alpha started swimming back to shore with her.

RavenShadow/Darkla looked up at Rowan. "Please.... she's.... too strong..... I dont want to let her hurt you....." she said, before turning away from Rowan. She was still fighting Darkla, but Darkla had grown and evolved, making her too strong for good Raven. She whined, wishing he would just go.
