Nix gave a tired and sarcastic laugh at his last statement. "Yes, most see me as their alpha still, which could be good or bad. But as for rebellion, I had that even as my own pack's alpha." She closed her eyes, "No, not all respect me, in fact many are angry that we merged, some happy. Not all would be happy for the right reasons. Some want revenge. " Nix opened her eyes, which were filled with unfiltered grief and tiredness. No anger lurked, but underlying hurt stayed behind the other emotions. She kept his gaze with her's, eyes showing the emotions she normally held down. Then, she schooled her expression once more. Looking down, she began to speak again, "They think you pity us, for you were winning. Many plot against you, I would guess. I speak not to them for now, prefering to simply sleep and eat until I have my pups, and until I am once again useful. But I will tell you, They are hurt. Many of our elders, our parents and siblings, were killed in that war." Pausing, she growled for a second in frustration, "I don't know what to do. We need to find some way to get them to understand. You're right, bigger things are out there. We need them to see the common enemy here. " The white wolf stood and paced, frustration lacing every pawstep. "And here I am, sitting in the depth of the pack, safe and sound, when all I want and need to do is go hunting. " She growled so fiercly, many out of the den could hear it, and a barked voice asked worriedly what was going on. Nix glanced back before looking to the alpha. "Look, I'm going to go back to my den. I need to be alone for a bit. " Her voice was tinged with mixed emotions as the female turned out of the den, glancing back once to bow to him respectfully. The only surprising thing about it was, it seemed whole hearted. Completely and utterly respectful, as if he had been her alpha for her whole life and had proven himself to her sevenfold. She let her eyes reveal sadness as she bowed, but then her face returned cold and motionless as she padded out, not waiting for his answers. Head and tail high, the former Alpha female trotted out into the cold snow, heading towards her den.
Infernum padded out of his den and looked around. The white queen had went back to her den, so maybe he could get off with more hunting. But, maybe, he could get someone else to come. That way, he would have backup. The chocolate colored male looked around, hoping one of the other hunters were around.
