Maika paused to study the male beside her for a moment, replying with a quiet "Hmmm.", and then turned to study the hoard of undead ahead of them. "Well, we could use my tactic of throwing a stone to distract them while we slip by? It's worked for me before when I've needed to get around them, although we'll need to hurry before the distraction wears off." Her ears flattened at the thought of sprinting, her paw now throbbing horribly. 'I might not be able to make it over there fast enough, but I guess I have no choice but to try.' Maika turned to Katek. "My paw is injured. Whatever we choose to do, if I lag behind, don't wait for me. I would hate to get you killed along the way because of me."

Ace's tail swept the ground in front of him as he curled it around his toes, slightly threatened under the dog's steady gaze. "We come alone. There's no one around." he replied shortly, in answer to the shepherd's uneasiness. "My name's Ace. This is Liberty." Ace's glare must've dropped the temperature around them several degrees, warning the new dog not to lay a claw on her, or else.

"H-hello." she stuttered, embarrassed. Burying her face into Ace's shoulder, she wished she couldn't be so shy when she was meeting new dogs.

Sergeo blinked as Annora caught yet another pigeon. We won't get lucky like this for days... The Chinook thought, licking his chops as the tempting smell of prey wafted over him. He felt his tail start to wag as Sadie praised him. "Thank you Sadie, but it was really all just luck. I waited too long before lunging, it could've escaped if it ran faster." It seemed to Sergeo that every animal had a death wish. He shivered, remembering his owner. His tail had stopped wagging at the thought, and he knew he couldn't stay with these dogs much longer. Just moments ago he was overjoyed to find survivors like himself. He'd like to believe in good and trust again, but that innocence could never be retrieved. Despite this, he wasn't afraid of them turning on him or betraying him. He was afraid that he'd have to watch more of his friends die. He knew that at a certain moment, he might not be strong enough to protect them. His heart began to ache as he recalled the day when he had killed his owner. She was helpless... Weak... She had been bitten, and Sergeo couldn't do anything to save her. Trying to shake the thought away, he dipped his head to Annora and Sadie. "It's been a pleasure meeting and hunting with both of you, but I'm afraid I must go..."

Sadie looked up from her pigeon and gave a small frown, "Leaving?" Sadie didn't like to ask questions, because she usually started to ask too many and get on dog's nerves, so she had learned to keep her mouth shut in her past, she had learned the hard way. The border collie let out a dismal sigh, ''I suppose we all have our reasons." she had said, curling her fluffy tail around her body. "It was a pleasure hunting with you, Just be careful, alright?" Sadie knew that of course he'd try to be careful, but she wanted to be sure of herself. Sadie had always been taught by her master never to deny orders or protest to suggestions, she had scars to prove it. Her whole life she had a struggling job, nothing else. Unlike the dogs with good previous owners, Sadie was used to being starved, she had always been left to catch her own food, and if she didn't, well then she couldn't eat, simple as that.

Wren trotted into the forest, she clung to the shadows as best as she could, and it didn't take her long to pick up a trail. She was hunched over as she moved swiftly after the rabbit trail. Rabbits were creatures of habit, and they often made trails where they frequently walked to grazing areas. It didn't smell like a lot of rabbits, she could guess the trail was made by just one or two.
She heard some rustling ahead and crouched down into a stalk as she moved forward, to see a perfect field. The rabbit was hunted under a bushy sage plant in the center of the field. Her body tensed before she lunged, the small creature bolting as she did, unfortunately for it she had a head start. Her teeth snapped over its spine and it let out a shriek before she shook it sharply breaking its spine. It's legs kept kicking as she turned and left the area.
By the time she made it back in the town the body was limp. She looked around as she moved back towards her spot under the house to eat her prize.

Moth slid off the couch and hit the floor with a thud, her eyes shot open. How long was I asleep? She thought to herself, looking around with wide eyes. Her gaze drifted over the open door as she noticed something strange, her food dish was empty. I'm sure I left it half full before I fell asleep. Moth padded towards the dish, her eyes scanning for intruders. She caught a short glimpse of a fluffy striped tail in the corner of her eye. Her heart sped up as she realized it was a raccoon, "Not good.." She whispered, taking steps back. The raccoon turned to face her, but to her surprise instead of attacking it scooted out of the room. Moth followed the mangy creature, her ears raised curiously. There was a hole in the lower part of the fence, it seemed freshly-made. The raccoon climbed out and ran into the alley, leaving Moth frozen on the spot.

[ I'm thinking the house Moth's in is just a couple buildings away from where Sadie etc. were hunting. ]

Annora sighed and bit the pigeon. She looked up at Sergeo and frowned. "Going now?" she asked, standing up to look at the Chinook. Annora looked back at Sadie and sighed. "Well, um...." she didn't want to tell her friend the truth that she wanted to leave and go see if there are any other dogs out there. "Never....mind."

Katek looked Maika, then at her paw and stilled. The parking lot was a large expanse to cross, let alone with an injured paw. "We just have to try, eh?" Katek murmured quietly and, keeping low, slunk around the corner. He kept under overhangs, knowing well the storeworkers and customers were now in the giant mass of undead. Katek kept sneaking glances behind him for Maika.

Märg slowly relaxed, but kept her eyes trained on the corpse for signs of movement. "It is fine, I just don't trust even the bodies laying down anymore" she muttered, with a dismissing swish of her tail. She sighed and for a moment was silent. "How did you take it out on your own?" She asked turning her scutinizing eyes on the Shiba wolf mix once more.

Blackie: I walk around silently, I spot an abandoned house with a deck underneath. I scratch a piece of old wood concealing the deck, it breaks and I get under the deck. I smell a mouse, my nose twitching I follow the scent. I pounce and clutch a furry body in my jaws, crunching I eat the prey slowly, savoring the taste.

Apollo: I run swiftly through a forest, my eyes alert for movement, and my nose twitching looking for prey. I hear a rabbit and a smile is spread across my maw, I go towards where the smell came from and sure as bees are bees I smell a rabbit.

Honey: I scamper across an abandoned road with my tail in between my legs, walkers follow slowly and I start picking up speed, running quickly and swiftly around the city. I jump through the window on the bottom floor of an apartment building and hide under the rotting desk. My heart pounds and my adrenaline runs through my body.

Valhalla leaned on his left front leg while the other one was up in the air comfortably. "I just.. you know.. put all my weight on the skull." He said with a curt nod towards the walker, "The longer they're been dead the easier to kill. The skull cracks eventually, but you have to get to the brain." His woofs were interrupted by a series of coughs as he crouched down. His ears were posed back as he spoke, "I'm getting worse, I'll have to find a warmer place to stay and some food."
