Luckily for him and his despair-fueled frenzy, but unluckily for all those close to him,—not that there were any anymore, anyways—he found his way to the lake. Without a single moment of hesitation, without a hint of fear, he ran onto the lake's ice-coated surface, reared up onto his hind legs and came down as hard as he could on the ice. As he repeated this, he wailed things like, "Rose's mother is going to kill them and it's all my fault! They're going to freeze in the snow and it's all my fault!"
