"Why do you speak so softly, unicorn?" she asked, somehow calmed by Nalu's presence.

"Yes and no." said Carter quietly, "Her immune system is strong enough for vaccines now. But she still has a lot of emotional and psychological problems. I take her blood once a week to make sure her systems aren't failing." He then took a deep breath and frowned. "I spayed her as well." he mumbled, "She wouldn't be able to successfully carry a litter to full term. It'd be too dangerous for her. And making her go into heat would be torturous for her."

Alessa laid down as she felt the calming aura from Nalu. The pup pawed at the grass.

Levi heard their voices faintly in the distance so he picked up the pace as he saw Carter setting up enclosures and Taz watching, "need any help?" Levi asked walking into the room

Carter looked over to Levi. "No thank you, I've just about finished up." he said, "You and your unicorn friend can come in whenever you two feel like it." He pointed to the enclosure for Nalu and Levi.

Taz stood up hearing Levi come in . She scuttled backwards a bit. She couldn't tell how far with her eyes closed. She opened them to find her head pounding. She closed them again, hoping it would go away

Carter patted Taz gently. "Do you want something for the pain?" he asked.

Taz looked up at Carter. "Then how am I supposed to punish myself?"

"No punishing yourself." said Carter, "You didn't do anything wrong."
