I watched, and stared. "Calm Down Alessa, shh..please stay calm!"

[Boomer]

Alessa would've used her power to ward off the vets, but she was too weak to use it. She was muzzled, as they knew she would probably bite them. Alessa growled as her paw was swabbed and the vet uncapped the needle.

Rod: I came to the room, and huffed. "Alessa, if you can still hear me, dont waste your energy on fighting back. If pain is all you ever feel, how do you know when it's over? You know when you don't feel it the same anymore. So listen, and dont move, let them."

[Boomer]

She stared at him and panted a little. She was anxious and not feeling the greatest. Alessa's yelps were muffled as the needle went into her paw and her blood was drawn. The pup shut her eyes, even after the needle was removed and capped.

I dont know if i was allowed to, but i stood onto my hind legs and licked her head. I rasped warmly on her fur, and nuzzled her. "its ok, my dearest cupcake, you musn't worry.."

[Boomer]

The vet left with the syringe of blood to make sure she didn't have a high white blood cell count. Another vet took off the muzzle and put her back in the incubator. Alessa curled up and gingerly licked her paw.

I followed, and held my gaze onto her face. I hadn't spoken, knowing she must've been tired, and needed rest.

[Boomer]

Alessa's breathing soon evened out. She looked to Rod as he watched her. "Prove it..." she whispered.

"How though? How? tell me, and i will do so!" I spoke desperately, wishing she could understand it was really me..

[Boomer]

"A test..." she murmured, "A blood test. They can use it to figure out a dog's lineage..."
