Flying High
Dear_____,
You have been accepted
into Dragon Academy.
We will teach you
how to fly dragons, and
you will eventually get
your very own. We wish
you the best of luck,
Signed,
Gwendolyn Prichett
Principal of Dragon Academy
Welcome to Dragon Academy, where we teach young students how to ride and take care of dragons. You are graded in each class with a score out of 10 every day. At the end of the year, all those scores are added up. The two students with the lowest scores are dropped from the academy. The classes are: Basic dragon care, Dragon mounting, dragon riding, Caring for young, How not to get killed, History, and Science. Lucky you, no math. Science is a super important class, because you need to learn the elements to properly take care of your dragon.
You will be given your schedule a week before the term begins. You have 7 days to get moved into your dorms. There are four floors, with the classes on two floors, and the dorms on the top two. The girls' dorm is at the very top. The boys' directly beneath it. There are 6 dorm rooms on each floor per building, and they hold two students each. There are 4 buildings, so that is 24 dorm rooms on each floor. There is plenty of elbow space, so there shouldn't be arguments. Each building has 4 bathrooms per floor.
The dragon stables are actually a 5th building on campus. As a one story building, it is very long, and very wide. There is room between each stall. 48 stalls lengthwise, 48 stalls width wise. There is one stall per student. Of course, there are the teachers' dragons that are hidden. The hatchery is in one of the classrooms, the Caring for young. The room is always hot, so as to keep the eggs incubated. They hatch after a year of school, and every single one hatches. There are no dead ones. Dragons live to an immeasurable age, so yours probably won't die. Good luck.
