"Okay, your boyfriend kidnapped me and I escaped." she said seriously, "And apparently he's my father. So uh, I'm on the run and so is Smokey."

"Well I think he thinks you're his girlfriend." she said, "He took me to your apartment and said that you couldn't have pups, and he said he wanted to make you happy, so I was gonna be your pup. And it turns out when I mentioned Dahlia, he said he was my father. I um... threw up too. So sorry if I ruined your carpet." She thanked the waiter as he gave her and Smokey their food. "Anyways, he took me to the park and I found Smokey. I managed to get out of the park and tried to take him home, but I guess his aunt and uncle don't take good care of him. And Hyde is out looking for me... I stopped here because Smokey was hungry."

Codi pricked her ears as she glanced over the flyer on the bulletin board, "The masked event! It's tomorrow!" she yelped out loud, and pulled out her phone, flipping through her calendar. She sighed in relief and slumped against the counter. "Ar you going?" Codi asked tentatively, not sure what that sounded like to Darren.
