"I know you will." said Mary softly, "We'll go back to the room and get her splinted." She looked to Star. We're going back to the room. The doctor is going to help me splint your wing she signed.

Mark was laughing into his mic as Felix and Bob couldn't find him in the most open spot.

Mary took Star's paw as she and the doctor headed back to the room. Once everyone got there, Mary picked up Star and put her on a bed. I'm going to swab your paw with alcohol so it'll kill any germs on you. Then you'll feel a little poke from the IV needle she signed. Mary swabbed Star's paw and got the IV needle. She moved the pup's fur to find a vein, then she inserted the IV into her paw. Don't feel bad if you cry, even adults cry when they get an IV she signed. She gave Star a dose of Lidocaine in the IV port, then waited for it to take affect.

When the needle went in, she tasted blood in her mouth as she chomped down on her cheek.
