Triko listened to what she had to say and nodded. "Being a single parent is never easy. Believe me I know. If my son was hard headed then my grandson is twice as bad." He said with a smile as he shook his head. "As far as Prudence, you seem to be doing a wonderful job as a mother." He assured her as he leaned against the counter. The old man tipped his head slightly. "You have been getting headaches haven't you? Dizzy spells too i bet. Lack of memory a couple times a month. Started happening around the same time as your depression started?" He asked as he straitened some jars on a shelf. He glanced to her now and then. "Am I wrong?" He asked as he turned towards her fully. Triko was never one to beat around the bush. Less so when the safety of the wolf before him as well as others could be at risk.

She smiled gratefully at his comment about Prudance. The girl looked at him as he began describing some of the symptoms she'd had. "No...you're not wrong although you are about the loss of memory. I've only had that the once before I began taking medication." She sighed and looked down. She knew it was crazy but she may as well just tell him. She took her jacket off and held out her left arm to reveal a cresant moon like scar in the middle of her lower arm. "It was about two years ago today. I...I got bitten by a wolf just a normal wolf so I originally thought that nothing would come of it so naturally I just went to the doctors for a rabies shot." She began.

Triko nodded. "Then you may end up being sedated through those times." He said simply. He heard the hesitation in her tone and smiled. He looked to her and let his blue eyes turn gold as he watched her. After a moment they returned to their normal blue color. "Would you like to learn what you are becoming? How to control it?" He asked. "The medications will not work much longer if it has already been two or three years."

Nakotah looked at him as his eyes changed color causing her to stumble backward. "W...how did you?" She began and then took a breath. "I'm a monster; I still have nightmares about that terrible night. I know what I did and a part of me liked it. I've tried to subdue whatever it is for the sake of Prudence and everyone around me. Though it's been getting worse ever since I moved here like something is forcing it out." She stuttered and then sat down on one of the stools. She folded her arms and looked down. "I don't want to control it...I want to get rid of it." She mumbled although she knew that she couldn't. As she closed her eyes a sudden image of a blonde wolf lunging right at her appeared and she jumped with a yelp. Her hands began shaking but then it quickly moved all up her body to her arms and chest down to her legs and feet. "I....I see it. Every time I close my eyes." She whispered. Though it wasn't clear yet that she was completely afraid of wolves, Nakotah certainly had the symptoms.

Triko stepped towards the door and put up the closed sign before locking the door and looking back to Nakotah. "It is getting stronger because there are others here that are like you." He said as he leaned against the counter. "You aren't a monster, not a demon. Though you may not see if yet, you have been given a gift. However you must learn to control it. Otherwise it will control you. Should that happen no one will be safe. Not you, not the villagers, and not your daughter." He sat down on one of the chairs in the shop. "I do not tell you this to scare you Nakotah. I am telling you so that you will know that you are not alone. That you can learn to control it. You do not want it and I suppose I can understand that. However the only cure for it is death. I don't thing that is something you are looking for. Is it?" Triko did not want to scare her but he needed her to know so that she could be aware. "Using the medications, all it is doing is building up a tolerance to anything that might be used as a sedative should it over power you. I can teach you if you want to learn. If you are willing to learn."

The purple haired girl listened to Triko's words and looked down. There was no-way she would ever dream of abandoning her daughter or even harming her so she guessed the only option was to learn to control it. She gulped and stood up shaking a bit. "I..if I do learn to control it, d..do I have to change? Can I not just learn to control it without having to..become it?" She asked with a slight gulp. She had sort of figured out what she was a while ago but didn't like to use the term.

Triko again listened to her words and nodded. "It will take a while to learn to control the wolf within you. Longer to be able to resist the change on the full moon. If you are willing to work at it them you can learn to ... not change." He told her. He tipped his head just slightly. "Though you may not like it. It can be very useful at times. Once you master control you will be able to take whichever shape you choose and still be in complete control. The choice will be yours rather or not you want to change." He assured her. "You must be very careful who you let know about this though. Other wolves will know what you are by your sent. Humans are another story. You have to be careful, even with Pru, at least until she is old enough to understand."

Levi finished the schoolwork and soon grew restless. He knew that a chat about such things would likely bring up the past and he did not want to relive it. "Can I go out and play?" He asked. Nash nodded and Levi headed outside. He knew that it was about time for recess at school. He knew that he couldn't go as a human because he wasn't suppose to be there until tomorrow now. He slipped into an ally and pulled a dog collar our of his back pack. The name tag said Yuta, his middle name, and the address at the bar. He put it on and left it loose before shifting into his wolf form. He didn't look much like a wolf yet, he was still young so he looked more like a fluffy Alaskan malamute or husky mix. Never the less he headed towards the school play ground.

Nakotah nodded showing her acknowledgment but then shook it when he mentioned about Prue knowing. "I don't want her to be part of this world. I hope you can understand." She said before adding. "I've kept it from her this long already, I'm sure I can continue. Thank you..for everything you've done for us." She walked over to him and gave him a quick hug before looking down as her vision suddenly became a bit blurred. "Something's happening...I..I can't see clearly." She said reaching out to find something to grip onto..

Prudence Swift • Human • 5 • Playing in the School Playground

Prudence began to play hopscotch while waiting for her mother to collect her. She sung to herself quietly as she played by herself. All her friends had left by now and her teacher watched her from the class window, worried.

Triko nodded and caught her arm so that she did not stumble or fall. He bay have been a good bit older than the rest of those in his pack but his was still strong. So keeping her from falling took little effort. "It is likely the anxiety of the whole situation." He told her. "Why don't you lay down in the back for a bit. I'll go get Pru from school. You may not be sleeping all that well either. So that could play a part as well."
