Narrowing my eyes, I place a paw on the herbs I brought.
"The slightest of untreated wounds can cause the worst infections, Micah."
His last words sear through my skin. Micah knows my weakness, clear as day.
And I won't give him the benefit of the doubt by showing weakness. He used to
do this when I was a pup, and he's doing it now. Ryke didn't know this, but by
protecting me he made me weak. I raise my head high. Simply, I won't respond
to his last statement. In the last part of my brother's life, he was heartbroken.
But he was never insane. If anything, it's Micah who's the insane one. As much as
I want to, I can't leave him in this condition. Without his permission, I place burnet
on his wounds to keep up his strength. It wasn't the most useful herb, yet it is fresh
enough to help.

She followed Sage after putting the useless herbs by the exit. She watched Sage place the herbs on Micah, then stepped forward. "Let me finish," she said to Sage. "I know how to do this. Go take care of the dead herbs." She rubbed the herbs on Micah's wounds, a lot more gently than Sage was doing it. "Why do you do this to her?" she asked Micah.

"i don't do anything to her. she's the one that starts it."

Astatine knows what she's doing, she'll finish the job. Then again,
she's not the Healer. For once, I'm obedient and pile the dead herbs
with my left paw. My ears perk up as Micah mentions me. This time,
I do what he does to me, roll my eyes. Turning myself around, now I
faced the two. "Yeah, and I'm a dog. As if!"
