K-9 comes in and quickly deploys it's battery charger. It then sets a recall timer for 8 hours, and shuts down.

Pinkpup stumbled through the woods, and upon seeing a cave, began to run faster. It'd been moons since she'd seen other wolves, and she could smell them from that cave. Pinkpup slowed to a saunter, as she approached. This clan would be hers.

During a dream, K-9 began to subconsciously insert the wolf pack it met today into the dream. Suddenly, all the wolves in the dream grew glowing, red eyes and then K-9 suddenly recalled early. It had been 2 hours since he shut down.
He was getting paranoid. Who were these wolves? Why did they just so happen to find me one day? Why did they have such unusual names, especially for wolves? Were they really spies disguised as wolves? K-9 was losing the grip between reality, and his twisted dark dreams. His circuits overloaded, and he shut-down. Shut down completely, skipping over the ability to dream. Some humans may have even called him 'dead'.
