More purple light flared from the clearing as Asuna watched, cautiously nestled in a net of branches among a nearby oak, her grip tight and her tail lashing. They were all loners, which meant that she was still safe from the Tribe Dragons, but the sight still chilled her spine and made her look away. Loners typically got into small, short fights with only some scrapes, burns, and cuts. But this? It's only a small strife compared to the war... She reminded herself. There are only four dragons. In the war, there are huge groups, and they don't stop until the other is killed... She felt slightly better about the fight, so she turned back, her green eyes glittering. A shiver ran up her spine at the sight. There was a small, lithe black dragon, lying on the ground and breathing heavily. Its chest rose up and down in uneven, short breaths, contrary to the large, hooked thorn embedded in it. In front of it, another dragon stood, shielding its body from further damage. It was a dragon that she'd never seen before- large and bulky, yet lithe, with thick, blue-and-purple fur with a whiter underside. It had sharp, twisted horns and wrathful eyes, its huge wings outspread. Nearby, a jet-black dragon looked like it had been knocked to the ground, its scales tinted with blue. Like the other dragon, this one was large with a lithe body and long wings. But the dragon that they seemed to be facing was much bigger than both, with a long, thorny neck and powerful tendrils. Large fruits dangled from it, looking quite ripe and good to eat. As she watched, the furred dragon's jaws stretched out wide. It seemed to be murmuring something, she noticed. For a split second, its normally green eyes flashed with power before purple magic blasted out of its mouth. The magic settled into the earth surrounding the larger dragon and a strange rune-like symbol flashed in the center. Suddenly, as if summoned, chains swirled out of the circle and lashed at the trapped dragon, tying it together and seemingly stopping it with an invisible force. The cage tightened and pushed in, trapping the dragon even more, and Asuna turned away. What kind of magic was that? None that I've ever heard of, that's for sure...
