Bane & KaiLee
The two of the trio began heading off a ways from the group by the den, KaiLee looking around for a particularly good hunting spot. She felt a shiver slide up her spine but she shook it off. It had more to do with her fear of the unknown disease than with the quiet, lonely looking fields.
What if Dandy catches it? What if Bane does? What if its already in us and we just don't know it it yet? What if...?
Suddenly, Bane crouched and KaiLee nearly ran into him. KaiLee froze for one moment, feeling another shiver run through her, wondering what Bane might have spotted.
Her fears were for naught, however, as Bane started stalking toward a small bush. KaiLee realized just as he pounced that he was actually doing what he was supposed to, that is, hunting. Not whining and worrying like herself.
KaiLee irritably shook away her nervousness as Bane brought back his prize. Some hunting seemed to have improved his mood.
KaiLee wagged her tail to show him how pleased she was for his success and then went on to start hunting herself.
Dandy
Dandy dipped his head to Damien, relieved that the fox didn't seem annoyed at their quarrel.
When the vixen returned, his full attention turned to her. He nodded at her as he padded past, careful to go quietly, not wishing to disturb the ill fox.

Dandy
Dandy padded through the entrance, dipping his head so that it wouldn't brush the rough, earthy roof. The small entrance tunnel felt long to his paws which itched to be figuring out the problem and finding a cure to the illness.
The entrance widened out to form a comfortably wide den that was at the same time not so wide as to be cavernous. Dandy subconciously appreciated that fact that he had some room to manuver. Now if only he could get some sunlight in here...
But he was distracted by an odd sent that drifted past his nose.
"Interesting mix, uh..." he drifted out of his studious expression with a look of surprise, "I... still don't know what your name is."
Dandy felt his pelt flash with embarrassed heat, but he really didn't have time to stumble over formalities. He silently berated KaiLee for not being on top of introducing herself and their trio to the other fox. She was usually better than Dandy with that social stuff.
"Um, perhaps you can tell me what herbs you used to get him to sleep?" he asked a moment later, trying to forget his social inadequacies.
Not that I'd need it... he thought, Both Bane and KaiLee sleep like logs...

Bane, KaiLee, & Pounce
Bane began padding back, his head heavy with the prey he carried in his jaws but his spirit much lighter than it had been before. He always enjoyed a good hunt and being successful added to his euphoria. He wouldn't admit it to himself, but he was practically prancing back to the spot where the two had split up and where he presumed that they would meet up again.
Once he had reached the place where the two sets of fox tracks split, Bane sat down, waiting with the prey still in his mouth. It had taken quite a bit of effort to fit the two thread mice tails in there beside the maned hair. Bane didn't care to rearrange it all back in between his teeth if KaiLee's catch had been equally successful and she couldn't share the load. Besides, Bane wanted to head back to Dandy as soon as possible after KaiLee returned and he couldn't do that if he had to cram the dead animals all back into his mouth first.
The young todd glanced around the meadow, hoping to catch site of the vixen. Sure enough, there she was with a rather large bundle held in her jaws. It was bigger than a rabbit but the shape was very like the tasty prey and Bane couldn't get a good whiff of what it was with so much of his own prey scent clogging his nose.
What is that..? Bane mused as KaiLee trotted up to him.
Then he suddenly spit out his mouthful, forgetting his determination to keep it all in until he had returned to Dandy. He was too stunned and slightly horrified by what he saw.
"That's a kit!" Bane yelped, his muzzle wrinkling in disgust, "You can't hunt kits!"
"I ain't hunted!" yelped KaiLee's supposed catch, still very much alive.
KaiLee, for her part, still held the living bundle in her jaws, her eyes twinkling with suppressed amusement. She gently lowered her head and dropped the kit who was now squirming slightly. She then gave Bane an exasperated, but still light hearted, look.
"Exactly when have I ever shown a tendency towards canabalism?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow.
Bane shifted his weight from paw to paw in embarrassment. He glanced down at the kit in order not to meet KaiLee's gaze. He hated embarrassing himself.
"Where did he come from?" he asked in a more mature tone, he thought.
KaiLee didn't answer right away, causing Bane to look up in time to catch a very strange expression on her face. There was anxiety mixed with a comical look of disgust. Now it was her turn to look away from Bane.
"I'd rather not talk about it now." she said simply, "The point is that he doesn't have anywhere to live now and no... parents to take care of him.
"He's our responsibility now." she finished, looking at Bane again, this time with an expression of determination.
Bane blinked back at her and his muzzle twisted slightly.
"Dandy's not gonna like it..." he muttered, not looking forward to his mentor's increased agitation.
"Dandy's gonna learn to like it." KaiLee said with finality, then she winked at Bane, "He needs to learn to be a little more flexible anyway."
Bane rolled his eyes, but was distracted as the little ball of fur suddenly tumbled onto his paws.
"Hey!" he yelped, half surprised.
The kit looked up at him with a very confused look.
"'Scuse me." he squeaked.
Bane felt the corner of his mouth twitch, finding himself liking the little scrap despite himself.
"S'ok." he told the kit.
"We should get him back to Dandy," KaiLee said, bending down to pick up the little one.
Bane sighed in exasperation: that ruddy pile of prey he was so proud of needed to be picked up again.
Dandy
"Hmmm..." Dandy murmured, annoyed that he hadn't heard of this particular combination yet, but happy to add it to his mental repertoire of herbs and their properties.
He then padded over to the todd and sniff him over, searching for something strange in his scent besides the smell of the herbs. He was immediately aware of the increased heat and his ears flicked back with sudden apprehension. His mother had always told him to beware of foxes with a high fever. It usually meant that whatever the disease, it was probably strong and contagious. He felt a slight quiver run up his spine as if his body were warning him to look out! But he had to stay and check the fox over some more.
There was something odd about this fox's posture. He was very much asleep, but it looked as if he had been avoiding something on his left side. Dandy sniffed along the todd's left leg and sure enough, he found increased heat there, suggesting an agitated spot.
"Has he been experiencing any increased pain in this leg?" Dandy asked, glancing at Satin Paw with a stern look.
