Star saw Mara, "Mara!!! I came to see Haythem, he told me I could join, but I wanted to make sure his offer still stood." she looked around pain filling her eyes, "Is...Peter around...?" she walked over to Mara limping slightly. "How is your life in this pack?"

Darkest backed up slightly, deciding to let Star do the talking. She obviously knew this fae, and from the looks of it they were close. He flickered his ears upon Peter's name, but other than that he was rather quiet. Although he didn't say, the smell of so many wolves was disorienting him, his sense of smell well enhanced for reasons he'd rather not discuss. He resisted the urge to sneeze, and stayed close behind Star not uttering a word as he watch the fae he now knew as Mara.

Mara smiled warmly, "I'm sure his offer still stands, and no Peter isn't around" She said with a soft sigh. "He's the beta! Takes some responsibility, My life in the pack?" Mara chuckled noticing Star's slight limp but pushed that to the back of her mind. "It's great actually better than Streaks hot mess, our packs growing fairly well and we have good hunting grounds" She responded with a small nod. "I was gonna go hunting myself when I awoke but I'll help you first" Mara murmured glancing at the unfamiliar brute. "Brought a friend I see, well we always have room for more wolves."

Star glanced at Shadow, "Well...actually he is my mate..." her face heating up, "But he is a loner and not used to a lot of wolves..." relief flooded her as Mara said Peter wasn't here.

Shy
Shy thought she smelled something odd and she started off in the direction, "Do you smell that Zero...?"

Zero
Zero did smell and it smelled like a snake, "I don't know but want to bet its that wolf Haythem was talking about, even the scent is dangerous."

Mara gazed at both of them, "Congratulations" She said with a happy smile. "I can understand if he becomes uncomfortable but don't worry, some of us used to be loners ourselves so he'll fit right in" Mara murmured reassuringly. "If you ever feel overwhelmed than please don't hesitate to take some time to relax, we don't want you feeling uncomfortable around the others.. If any of you need someone to talk to than feel free to speak with me or Haythem" She said softly. "But this is a pack, and we need everyone's help in maintaining it alright?"

Midnight walked into the den it was vary cold out now because it was almost winter. She got a rabbit out of her den and started eating it. She looked around the den for anything to do. then she walked out side and looked around.

Star nodded, "Yea I understand, I can hunt...once I'm healed fully.." she looked back to Shadow waiting for him to introduce himself, "Do you know where Haythem is?"

Darkest felt himself blushing, and he shook his head before dipping it to Mara in a respectful gesture. "Apologies ma'am, this is very... overwhelming for me. Thank you..... I will be sure to talk to either of you if I feel as though I cannot handle the stress," the jet black brute said in his ever soft voice, gently twining his tail with Star's once more. He found comfort in the gesture, so he also shifted forward to offer her support noting she was standing slightly unbalanced. This is most definitely going to take some getting used to... but I don't know you. The gesture is kind, but I don't think I'll find comfort speaking to Haythem.... it's personal. "I am Darkest Shadows, pleased to meet you," he said then, noting he hadn't introduced himself earlier. He flickered an ear, feeling so out of place.... I was in a pack before. This nervousness should go away... eventually...


Varien arrived at the hunting grounds shortly, immediately picking up the 'scent' of many elk. He flickered his tongue, noting that there was a young one he could take down easily.... yet his eyes were set on the buck. Large, magnificent thing. The whole herd was drinking at a lake, so the large snake slithered painstakingly around the herd, entering the water and immediately going under. He took his time getting close, and as soon as he was he struck; the buck was the closest one. Although Varien could've gotten closer, for some reason he wanted a challenge. A serious one. The buck began to thrash, and Varien held on as he slowly began to wrap his body around, even as the herd fled and the area became undignified chaos.

Mara chuckled softly, "Pleased to meet you too, and if you could.. Just call me Mara, ma'am just makes me feel older than I am" She said smiling to herself. "He's around here somewhere, want me to fetch him for you?" Mara asked quietly.

Star leaned into Shadow, twining her tail with his as well. She smiled at Shadow and then to Mara, "We can wait until Haythem shows up. Last time I saw him I told him I would be in a better condition...ha im getting there slowly."
