Thunder looked at Varien and back at Lightning, "Well, I care about the safety of this pack, and I will go look for her," he barked, and shot a glance at Varien again before trotting back into the camp

Varien resisted the urge to roll his single blue eye at the glance Thunder shot him. Seriously? the brute thought with a near sigh. "Okay, I'll stay, although I doubt I"ll be a help looking for the fae pup. She's probably scared of me now," Varien said honestly, glancing after Thunder. He shrugged his shoulder, and yawned. "What do you want me to do?" he asked, glancing at Lightning and noticing she was smiling. He felt his neck prickle; what was that about?

Once Thunder saw Dawn, he ran to her, "Are you ok? We didn't know where you were..." he said, and looked at the pup

"I told you and Kayla I was going to see lighting, but I don't leave camp without anyone, so I stayed right here and watched you and Kayla being all lovey to each other." Dawn said, resting her head on her paws.

Thunder blushed, and looked at Kayla, "Did Lightning leave without you?" he asked, trying to forget that a pup just told him that

"no, Kayla was watching me, protecting me when that rouge wolf was here, she was watching me for lighting." Dawn said still looking down at the ground

"Why not?" Varien said, tilting his head slightly. "He's your pack mate still, and your beta. It bothers you that much, hmm? You told me before him... strange," Varien rumbled quietly, glancing at her as he realized that meant she trusted him. Love.... Varien thought, not knowing exactly what that word meant anymore.
