Trex smiled, and stared at his paws. "Great, I thought it might be good" he commented, but felt distracted. "Hey, Luna, I have to do something, can we talk later" he asked, trying to be as nice as possible.

Amarande kept her head low. She dropped an elk, for the pack. She glanced around, oh how she would miss this place. But she was leaving, she needed to pass, that's all

"Sure," Luna said. "Maybe we can even go on a hunt, If you want." she wagged her tail as she went into the water again.

Trex leapt from the island, and paddled back. His head was bobbing on top of the surface, but he swam harder. Once he got to the shore, he caught a very, VERY faint scent. Slowly, he padded forward and scented Amarande. He broke into a run, and slammed right into her. "Mom" he gasped, panting heavily.

Amarande winced, backing up "Trex..." She said, looking at him. She needed to go, she couldn't stay..

A tear slipped from Moonhighs eyes and her lips quivered, She closed her eyes as more tears slipped down her muzzle. Moonhigh scrambled into her den and lay in the back of it. Where it was dark and quiet.

Once on mainland again, Luna bolted for her den. She crawled back inside and grabbed her carcuss. She wanted to have some but knew she better make it last.

Trex looked at her, and felt a pang of sorrow in his heart. "Mom..." he wanted to scream at her, and say that she shouldn't have left. Instead, he replied calmly. "Mom.. I miss you" he said, a pang of sorrow in his voice.
