Longclaw nodded, and trotted over to the small kit.

Iceheart glared at her son. "She's adorable!" she cooed.

Stripekit tilted his head to the side. "He is...can we play with him?"

Longclaw growled. "Mousekit is female, and no, you can'tpkay with her."

Spotkit shrank back. "Sorry..." he said meekly.

Another tiny kit would come careening in. "Meew!" she squeaked, bumping into Longclaw's hind leg.

Longclaw turned around quickly. "You were supposed to stay with your mother! Please tell me the other one is still in there..."

Mousekit unsteadily walked up to Tarja.

Stripekit shrunk back as well. "Sorry sir."

Tarja smiled. "Don't go to me, little one...He's your father..." he said, nosing he so that Mousekit was facing the right direction.

The kit just mewed again, rubbing herself against her father's leg.

Firepelt cried out suddenly, before falling silent.

"Can you two watch Mousekit and Greykit? Thanks!" Longclaw called, not waiting for an answer as he ran back to the den.

Mousekit looked up at Tarja. "Warm..."

Stripekit looked at Mousekit then at Tarja. "Were we seriously that small?"

Tarja nodded and smiled. "When you were first born, yea...and Redkit was even smaller..." he said.

Redkit blanched. "I...I'm the runt?" she asked, shocked.

Greykit tumbled down, mewing piteously. "H-...hungry..."

Firepelt would be limp on the ground when Lonclaw arrived, another two kits with her now.

"One...two...three...and two back with Tarja..." Longclaw's eyes widened.

Iceheart looked at Redkit. "That's not true...Ivykit and you were about the same size. It's normal for females to be smaller initially."

Ivykit looked up at Tarja. "So, I was Mousekit sized?"

Mousekit cuddled between Tarja and Ivykit.

Firepelt's chest would just barely be moving, and her eyes would be squeezed shut. "L-L-Long...claw..." she wheezed.

Greykit managed to get up, heading over to Iceheart. "H-h-hungry..." she repeated.

Tarja licked Ivykit's head. "Yep."

Longclaw laid next to her. "I'm not loosing you...I'm right here..."

Iceheart chuckled. "C'mon...let's get you back to your mum." she purred, picking up Greykit by the scruff of her neck.

Ivykit growled. "Dad!"

Mousekit drifted off to sleep.

Tarja smiled, doing the same with Mousekit, carrying her back to Firepelt.

Firepelt clenched her jaw. "One....more..." she said.

Firepelt was asleep, resting, all six of her kits feeding now.
