"It's an old, old, spell used to make wolves better. The wolves were called 'great' and made Alpha's. The spell-casters that did it for them were forgotten, along with the spell. Apparently, it made it through to today. I only found out a year ago. The spell makes the wolf enhanced. Better eyesight, hearing, taste, and smell than any other wolf. This made them extraordinary at hunting, tracking, and with the small side affect, killing. The wolves...the wolves had the dark power of chaos."
