Our males usually join them as they grow into strong adults, sadly they have no choice but to join when trouble strikes. They are immediately drafted when something sinister happens, dragged from their family and pups to serve our little piece of paradise!
When females mature they are made as a back up crew for the K-9's we call them the C-9's, if they have a mate or pups they are declined through the drafting system and left peacefully to raise our future K and C-9's
We don't just have special inforcements we also have a leader, followed by a group of puplicans. If the leader us accused of doing wrong the puplicans are to display the crimes to the K-9's and C-9's, if the leader denies then he/she is watched closely by the puplicans and followed by the alpha K-9.
How do you become leader you ask? Easily answered, once the previous leader is exiled or had died the oldest puplican takes it's place and the K-9 or C-9 of the new leaders choice takes his place as the youngest puplican.
What about Doctors? Through pup hood she-pups learn herbal lessons to take care of her future K-9 mate. The she-pup grows and unusually takes a deeper interest into herbs and magical contact with wisps and other mythical creatures. The Medicine Mutt is gifted 3 lives to serve CS Hollows the longest she can, on her death bed the oldest undrafted she-dog is to take her place.
