QuickStar led her warriors into the gathering hollow. It was a dusty crater surrounded by bushes, hidden, unless you broke through the thick row. "Stop" she waved her tail. She sniffed the air. "Cloudclan has not arrived yet." She then waved her tail, this time, it dropped down. "Let's go" she ran into the hollow, relishing the cool breeze. She twitched her whiskers, and jumped onto the giant, crooked, rock. She curled her claws over the rim, then pulled her body up.

Reedstar was ill, so he wobbled out of the den. "Icyfang, take a couple of warriors to the gathering. Tell them I decided to stay here. Don't tell them about the sickness that Is passing quickly here." He rasped. He did not want to show any weakness. He then sighed, and stumbled back to his shady den, sleep rolling at his eyes already.

Minnowpaw's head snapped up like a twig stepped on by a badger. surely they would suspect something if reedstar could not even make it to a gathering. she thought.

(Can icyfang be her mentor?)

''Of course my leader'' she said bowing her head. ''Warriors come with me!'' she suddenly snapped lifting her tail into the air. ''You to Minnowpaw, as this could help you in your training'' she turned and started to pad out of camp towards the hollow.

Minnowpaw sighed, leaving her half-eaten vole behind her after casting a wistful glance after it. She followed her mentor, her tail trailing in the dust. Her heart thumped. She had a crush on a handsome flame colored Tom, lionpaw. She closed her eyes, seeing his sparkling blue eyes pierce her gaze.


Stormsplash paced. He was not impressed. Cloudclan late again?

Minnowpaw suddenly felt a stab of fear sear through her heart. What if they found out she loved him?


Fernpaw bounced over to lionpaw, her brother. "when will cloudclan get here?' she complained, "they are taking moons. It will be daylight by the time they arrive." lionpaw shifted his paws. "let's give them a little more time. Maybe they are running late" his gaze flickered up to their mother, QuickStar. She look as worried as him. They both could tell from the last gathering that there was sickness in the clan. What if it had been worse than they thought?

IcyFang chuckled as she heard the kits comment as she came through the line of trees. ''Moons huh?I dont think we would be that late'' She waited for the warriors to catch up to her as she was fast.When they came they satdown.She sat in her spot ''Minnowpaw'' she called out ''come sit next to me.''

Minnow paw started to walk over to lionpaw, and saw his gaze lighten, but she heard her mentor call. "okay" she groaned.

She squited her gaze at her apprentice''Did I detect a hint of reluctance Minnowpaw.'' she said as she heard the tone in her voice. She then turned her attention towards the other clan cats. ''I say lets start this meeting.'' she says with authority in her voice.
