Immortals
The Immortals control the finer, less damaged parts of the city. These parts include a few housing buildings and the central kennels. The central kennels have a medical supply center, the only one left in the city. While the Immortals don't generally use the flesh healing they often use the mechanical healing stations to fix broken parts. The kennel also contains the building station, a place where dogs are sent in order for mechanical parts to be attached - this is all controlled by the building's technical system. This section also contains the small forested area where deer can be found though there are no water sources. This doesn't matter much since the Immortals don't need much water and often have water reserves.
The Immortals have regular inner body systems so still need food and water to survive, the only difference is that they don't need as much since much of their body does not rely on energy from the food. The most common types of mechanical parts are their legs which are often metal, shaped to look exactly like a dog's legs. The back legs contain small pockets of water, of which can be used to replenish their hydration. Some of the dogs who are higher rankings in the defense system will have mechanical jaws and the leader of bands will have either one mechanical eyes. The two main leaders will have a mechanical heart, a way for their body to pump more oxygen to increase their running abilities. The mechanical eyes are a locating device and can scan for any heat source in order to track down targets. Once a target is identified it can be picked out of any crowd. When a dog has been given a rank they are sent to the appropriate place to have the right parts installed. While the dogs are a dangerous opponent they are not always the smartest and will rely on brute force more than anything. Most of the dogs are strict and bitter.
Dogs
The dogs have banded together to become a part of the Sun pack. Their territory is located in the slums of the city. The houses are all pretty much rundown and beat up. It has very few grass or trees and is mostly paved paths and beaten up buildings. There is only a single water source coming from a fountain in the small park. The park is the only place with grass though it is brown and isn't even very big. You can find mostly small prey in this part of the city but due to the Immortals not being around much it is plentiful. The main place to stay is the Nebula, a small hotel like building. It has several rooms inside that can be slept in, some more luxurious then others. There are several places to hide if one is crafty enough, which you should be if you're going to survive the Immortal's weekly patrol in this area.
These dogs have no special modifications and are normal, functioning dogs.
