Axel and Fang
Feeling the crack of the ice, Fang dashed forward trying to get to Skylar instead falling through himself with a loud yelp. "FANG!" Axel yelled steadily walking forward. "Work with me. We can swim, get to Skylar, Ill break a path through the ice so you guys can crawl out" he said beginning to break the ice and backing up as he did so. Fang nodded and paddled over to Skylar grabbing hold of her. "How well can you swim?"

Moon
The white wolf moved around in her almost empty medicine den. Sighing she began to look at the small assortment of different herbs. They were running low on a lot, the winter not letting most plants grow.

" Not as good, as most wolves. " Skylar started to get colder, which didn't help at all. She kicked her legs, but it was much slower. She smiled sheepishly and tried to keep up, she didn't wanna die like this.

Starlight blinked, dropping her hare. "Hello." She said cooly. "I would like to join Tundra pack." She paused. " Unless they hunt by hiding in the snow and jumping on unsuspecting prey that's walking over them." She joked.
"How can you move in that fluffy fur?"

Zephyr looked taken aback. "I.... I'm not that fluffy am I?" He felt embarrassed and shrunk down a little. Then he perked right back up. "Wait! Did you say you wanted to join Tundra Pack?" He then smiled brightly. "Yes! You might be able to help us get more food with those skills! We haven't had much lately." Zephyr cocked his head. "No, we usually hunt normally, but hey, I might try that out sometime, it sounds efficient." He wagged his tail.


Feather frowned. "I am Feather, I.... I wasn't really watching you, I was here waiting for prey, and you showed up and.... I didn't want to run away, because I was scared." She flattened her ears, feeling her pelt prickle. "But honest, I was only watching for food to walk past."

Feather stood to her full height, which was quite a bit shorter than Cadenza's, but she remained tense. "I guessed. I'm not much for fighting.... I mostly hunt. Quietly." She admitted, flicking her tail. At least now it seemed like Cadenza wouldn't attack, or at least would let Feather run before she did. But the red fae was more curious now than afraid, she watched the other wolf with a bit of admiration.

Starlight bit back a snort of laughter. Not very bright... "Yea, I do want to join Tundra Pack. I heard that there's some kind of trail though..." She said.

"Oh yes, there is a trial! You have to beat a fighter from the pack, and help the hunters hunt!" Zephyr said. "And then based on the skills you already have, the Alpha will determine if you're a fighter or a hunter, and you'll be accepted into Tundra Pack! It really isn't that hard, it's how I got to be here."

Feather felt nervousness churn in her stomach. Why was Cadenza examining her? I hope I don't appear too weak, I don't want her to think I'm helpless. She flicked her ears, keeping her stance, wondering what would happen next.

"Well, I know that already." Feather admitted. "I'm not strong at all. But I'm great with stalking, I could ambush a wolf if I really had to fight, and I'd have a better chance that way." She added. She was eager to see how Cadenza might act to hearing about Feather's own skills, whether she was interested in others or only herself.

Feather tensed again. "Yes, I certainly have." She said in a stern, matter-of-fact sort of way. Cadenza's subtle insult offended her as well. "And I think I'm far from a scavenger. If I was one, I would have stayed in that bush, or snuck off, and stole your leftovers while you were sleeping." Her last few words came out louder, with just a hint of agitation. Then she forced herself to relax. "And what do you mean, made a pack?" She flicked her tall ears in interest.

"Soft? I may not be the best fighter, but I am not soft." Feather scowled. "But how would you create a pack here? What are your intentions?" She figured her own interest in helping adenza form a pack should be set aside for now, knowing what her pack would entail was more important.
