The young race horse trotted over to Lucky and Akatora.

"Lucky, this is Dexter. He was once a race horse, but now he is a jumper."

He sat down next to her. "Okay, you can tell me anything." I wonder what's wrong, could it be her horse? Or is it because she is dying? I thought to myself.

I looked at him as he sat down beside me on the bed. I said "So...I am going to see a mare my aunt wants to buy for me. To see if she might be good for me, and to keep Echo company...if he...anyway, would you like to come with me when I go to see her?"

He had a small smile on his face as he watched Jonah, a lot different than his usual smirk, a lot more genuine. Taz did almost the same thing Vinnie did, seemingly searching his hand for treats as Johnny reached into the little bag in front of their stall, coming out with a few peppermints and handing them to Jonah. "They'll love you forever if you give them one."

Jonah looked up at Johnny again and saw a genuine smile now instead of that smirk it seemed he always wore. He smiled softly in return and purred now, his cheeks faintly dusted with a light pink, and his eyes sparkled shone and danced. He looked over at the bag as Johnny picked it up and tilted his head. He smiled softly and took the peppermints, then he did just that. He held them out to each of the horses, palm up.
Colson got the text and texted back We are talking when you get back.

The thoroughbred stallion nodded, "Then you should be a fine racehorse." When he was about to go back over the fence though, Dancer stopped him. "Can't you give him any tips?" Eventually he relented, turning back to Lucky. "Don't wear yourself out at first, wait until the last bit to let out your full speed. If you want, we can head to the cross country trail and test out your speed."

He listened to what Jezzel had to say "I would love to come with you." I wonder if Colson or Jake has told about the hospital papers.

I texted back There is nothing to talk about. I looked over at Madison "Okay, lets get going." I walked over to my truck and got in, waiting for Madison.

Akatora

He noticed that the three horses were ignoring Dexter "Dex lets go and play with your foals."

Vinnie and Taz both let out appreciative snorts, ridding Jonah's hands of those probably very heavy peppermints. Immediately though they began searching for more, noses reaching towards the peppermint bag Johnny was holding. Gently he handed the bag over to Jonah, the other four horses becoming more alert at the sounds of treats and beginning to search for them. "Have fun," he whispered playfully, all horses now staring at them.

Draco watched as Dancer moved over to the other horses(Dexter and Akatora), seemingly interested in them now. "Come on," he mumbled to Lucky, starting off at a slow canter towards the woods.

"Sorry," she said, aiming to get the other two's attention. "You know how boys are, they get interested in something and nothing can stop them."

The stallion slowed slightly, approaching the beginning of the cross country course. "This is how my rider and I learned," he told him, stopping. "Doing something like this gives you better stamina, and makes you aware of your speed and how far you can push it before burning out."
