I smiled at him, Shadow made me feel better about things. "Thank you Shadow, I can't wait to be in a herd." I said smiling,"I'm glad Xavier isn't one to push you till you tell him everything."

(please tell me if I'm making my character seem to dramatic or wimpy. I don't want people to be upset by me over doing it.))

Shadow
"At least you'll be able to test easy at night, knowing your safe with the herd all watching after each other." He commented to Akemi. "And yes," he sighed before continueing, "Xavier is a very fair leader. He only does what is necessary to protect his herd." He told her looking around every so often, just in case.

(Oh my gosh, i completely missed this post..)

Starfall smiled "now would be a good time to talk" she said looking up at him. Xavier sighed "I just don't want to lose you" he said steadily "after Ir-". "That was my own fault" said Starfall, interrupting him "stop worrying about me okay? I can take care of my self"

Jericho winced as her hoof clipped the log "Be..becare.. ful" he studdered watching her closely. He wouldn't know what to do if she got hurt; he would be too shaky himself to walk beside her, if she could stand that is. He shook his head trying to stop his pesky worrying.

Harmony
She looked at her hoof that had nicked the top of the log before looking back at Jericho. She smiled with a flick of her long tail. "Don't worry, i'm fine. i wouldn't do anything that would put myself in harms way." she told him. "Now come on, by the time we actually make it to the meadow it'll be winter!" she giggled and turned back around and began slowly trotting, so after Jericho went around the log he could easily catch back up to her.

Xavier huffed "I can't just stop worrying about you" he said in a gentle tone. Starfall sighed and looked down "I know.. but the least you could do is try..." she said but she figured it was pointless. No matter what her brother replied with, he would always worry about her. "alright..." replied Xavier quietly before walking away.

Jericho smiled and carefully walked over the log, then quickly trot up beside Harmony. "I don't think I ever told you why I'm so scared of jumping..." he said ears perked. Why he was scared by something was knowledge others didn't know, therefore everyone thought he was just skittish like some horses are. Only Iris and Jericho knew that every fear had a story that explained it, except for his fear of spiders.

Harmony
She heard hoof beats coming up from behind her then after a few moments, Jericho was beside her again. She smiled at him then tilted her head slightly. She shook her head to him, "No, you've never told me. But, could i know now?" she asked him, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to though, i wouldn't want to pressure you if its a painful memory or anything." She could tell by his tone of voice that it probably wasn't the greatest of stories and she wouldn't want to make him feel uncomfortable by telling her if he didn't want to.

I nodded, "ya." I whispered and swished my tail looking forward, I look at Xavier as we walked towards him. I listened as Shadow's and my hooves thumped on the ground, the pebbles slowly shaking. I looked back up and tried thinking straight again.

Xavier looked up as Kage and Shadow approached him. "Yes, is there something you need?" he asked coolly, his ears perked. He figured he already knew what this was about, Kage had decided to stay.

Jericho smiled "no, its fine Harmony" he said, but refused to look at her. "When I was a colt, I loved jumping, it was one of my favorite things to do" he began "One night, when it was a full moon, a few of my friends and I strayed away from our mothers when they were asleep. It was the wrong thing to do, but we didn't know anything bad would happen... We ended up outside of our herds territory, and we were thinking about going back when one of my friends, Royal, decided to have a race... It started off like any old race that we have ever had, I was in the lead, Royal was second, and Tip was third. It was when we came to the jump that..." Jericho paused and closed his eyes, letting out a painful breath "I slowed down... I don't know why, I guess I just had a feeling that I had to... That was my mistake, when I jumped I didn't expect there to a gorge; and by the time I saw it, it was too late. I never would of made it... I fell straight into the cold, wet dark. I remember letting out a whinny before hitting the bottom. I must have hit my head and blacked out, because I don't remember anything else after that. When I woke up I was alone in the gorge, the sun high above me. I whinnied as loud as I could but there was no reply, and by the time I got out of the gorge I was completely lost. I never found my old herd again... They probably think I'm dead."

Akemi Kage
I looked down then back up at Xavier as we stopped in front of him, "well I was wondering if I may join?" I asked kicking my front hoof in the dirt nervously.

Shadow
He stood beside Akemi as she spoke to Xavier. He swished his black tail and glanced from Akemi to Xavier and back again as he patiently waited for Xavier to give an answer, though he knew what the answer would most likely be. He pricked his ears and looked around and glanced at Starfall to make sure everything was ok and there was no sign of danger.

Harmony
She watched her hooves as she listened to Jericho's story and they continued trotting to the meadow. After he was finished she slowly looked at him with soft sympathetic eyes, "I'm so sorry that that happened to you, Jericho." she told him and looked down again. She had never had much tragedy in her life. She left her old herd because she wanted to, not because she was forced to or something happened that forced and made her to leave. The only thing close to being tragic was the amount of loss the herd she was in now had suffered in the last battle.

Xavier nodded "I suspected that's why you came to see me" he said. He smiled kindly "yes, you can stay Akemi" he said. Starfall flicked her tail watching them curiously, looking away when Shadow glanced up at her. She bent her head down and began grazing quietly, sighing softly.

Jericho looked up at Harmony "its ok... its in the past now, but the fear still remains". He sighed then looked at the ground, it felt kind of good talking to Harmony; she was kind and sweet. "I like talking to you" He said looking at her "want me to tell you about why I'm afraid to love?"

I stopped a hoof in joy, I smiled at him and bowed my head in a thankful way. Thank you Xavier!" I swished my tail a bit, and looked at Shadow giving him a smile. I kinda liked this stallion named Shadow.
