Jace tried to not have his mouth gape open. "Y-you do? Nikkia, I've always loved you." It kinda just blurted out again. The brute almost wanted to take it back, but then didn't. It felt right to say -and it was real.

His reddish fur hid his bright cheeks, for he was blushing. Jace smiled, suddenly feeling shy or maybe nervous.

All at once, the world seemed to stop. Nikkia couldn't believe her ears, was it true? Did Jace really just say he loved her? Yes it was true. but still, Nikkias mind whirled with emotions, happiness, excitement... but mont importantly love.

Afer a while Nikkia shocked her self out of her daydreaming, and focused on Jace. Her cheeks shown bright pink under her snow white fur. Suddenly she pushed her self towards Jace, her eyes locked on his reddish fur. and ten, she snuggled up against him, feeling his warmth against her skin made it prick... But she easily eased and lied her head by his chest her heart beating a million times a minute. ღ

He tried not to be surprised. He tried not to yelp with joy. Oh, he tried. "Nikkia," Jace said slowly with affection, rolling her gorgeous name off of his tongue. "You struck me dead the first time I met you. I've never felt this way. You make me a different wolf -a better wolf than I usually am. Will you-" But he stopped. The words got choked in his mouth -he made a terrible spluttering sound.

Great job, Jace. You look like an idiot. He scolded himself mentally, feeling stupid. Your a coward for not asking the question. He growled at himself and took a deep breath. He would do this. "Nikkia, will you be my mate?" He barked gently. Beneath Jace's red coat, he was blushing uncontrollably. His green eyes were slightly nervous, but unbelievably gentle.

Nikkia made him feel different -if only his sister would see him now. Where was she, anyways? She'd only saw her once since...Jace sighed and waited for a reply anxiously. Did he push it too quickly? What if he scared her away? He soon realized her was being very paranoid and just should waited for an answer. With that, he reached down and licked her head softly. Jace had always been so anti-social and secretive. With Nikkia...well, he was a new wolf. He was sweet and loving and kind.

Ella, his sister, had killed him inside when she said she hated him. It made him unstable and he tucked himself away into a shell that masked his hurt -unfortunately, that shell made him a terrible new wolf. Beneath it all, Jace was everything you could want. Maybe Nikkia could bring him back? She could make Jace the way he was before Ella made him dead inside.

F A N G Fang smiled, as he stepped out of his den. The snow fell thinly, but in vast quantities. Yawning, Fang silently padded past Luna's den, as a raw wind blew past him. Shaking his pelt, he continued on wards. Crouching down, he sniffed the floor, following it up a tree. He could see a squirrel up it, scanning the area for any danger, he stood up against the tree. Barking loudly, Fang scratched at the bark on the tree, trying to knock the squirrel out the tree.

Nikkia was holding back tears, tears of joy that is... "Yes Jace, Yes I will." She said as she gave him a affectionate lick to the cheek, her eyes now a silverish purple. No one had seen this side of Nikkia scence her brother left to join the K9's...

{Flash back moment}

When Nikkia's brother was still around, her eyes were a silverfish purple that no one could forget, Her brother being 2 years older, was like a father to her. He spent the long ours watching her while her mom went to hunt, he taught her how to hunt, but most importantly... he taught her how to love. But after her brother left... she left the pack ground, made her way to love canal, and stuck her self in a shell. so now, Jace was like the brother she wished she had, and now, he was the mate she always wanted.

Jace almost squealed in happiness. Almost. But he kept it to himself and smiled. "Your eyes are...really pretty. And, you must be so tired. Why don't we rest, my love?" The brute smiled to her very softly and reached forward to nuzzle her. He sat down again in his large nest with a soft yawn.

Maybe this was his chance to start over, start fresh. So what if Ella hated him? He didn't care, he loved Nikkia.

Luna heard Fangs bark. 'Oh, he must be hunting. I guess I'll go join him.' She silently padded up behind him, watching as he tryed to knock the squirrel out of the tree. She turned and saw a small vole scamper by. She pounced just in time, a few seconds earlier that would have been too late to catch it. 'That was lucky.' She padded back over to Fang to say hello.
