"Yes... although being without a mate doesn't affect my job, so at the moment, I'm hoping to stay this way." He glanced at her warily before shrugging, signalling her to 'go ahead' if she was hungry. He would stay within camp for awhile, at least until he was certain that there weren't any others slinking about in the shadows, waiting to pounce.

Akira took a chunk out of the belly of the elk. "you know you look like your trying to figure me out." she said with a smile.

"If you were in my position, you'd understand my suspicion." He replied in monotone. He watched her with glassy almost sleepy eyes a minute longer before he began to pad away to tend back to his duties and left her to it - not that he really had any at the moment other than guarding th camp. But there was a small pond less than a hundred yards east to the camp site, and he felt the need to get himself a drink.

Akira watched him start to walk away and desided to go with him. "where you going? I thought you were keeping your eye on me?" she asked with a hint of humor

Nyte breathed a sigh of relief as the she-wolf made no move to come any closer; merely calling out to whoever was hiding.
"Erm, hello." He stepped out from behind the bush, smiling guiltly, and ruffled his black wings in discomfort. "I... merely happened to be passing by?"

West nearly jumped out of her skin when the brute presented himself. Immediately she fell into a defensive pose, ears laid back and neck dropped between her shoulders as though she were aiming for his leg. She picked up on the uneasiness he seemed to show, the slight hesitation in his voice. So she lifted her head to take on a more calm but serious demeanor.
"Hmf. You loners are popping up like cockroaches," She commented, though not nastily. "What's your name?"

Reaper didn't seem to take any heed to her words as he stumbled on. He was in a world of his own at this stage in time, his thoughts wavering in and out of focus.
He reached the pond and crouched by the edge, lapping needily so that the surface cracked into a series of ripples.

Akira watched Reaper for a minute and then desided that it would be fun to mess around with him. She creeped up next to him and started drinking too. When he seemed to have his fill she picked up her paw and splashed a small wave at him

"I'm Nyte." Nyte offered, keeping up the guilty smile. "And I don't really like being likened to a cockroach. I assure you, there are no others with me, and I don't feel the need to live in a rubbish dump." He looked closer at the she-wolf, intrigued. "May I enquire as to your name? How come I've never heard of a pack here?"

West made herself comfortable, sitting before him.
"West." She told him simply. At least he didn't seem like too much of a threat. "I don't know. I can't say it's a huge pack, little more than a handful of wolves... so I guess we don't exactly stand out." She blurted before realising. Leaning back she gave the spot behind her ear a quick scratch. "Why do you want to know?"

He made no sound when the fae joined him. Reaper chose to just ignore her whilst he drank, enjoying the delicously cool feeling of the water running down his throat... until he felt the meek force of the splash on his fur. Soggy-faced, he turned to face her. He didn't appear angry or annoyed... just a void, maybe meangingless frown plastered across his face.
"...Please don't do that." As he spoke a small flicker of a flame burnt within his mouth.
