Star yelped and bounded away, heading towards a dense part in the woods. The familiar forest turned to something dark and sinister as shadows flickered at the edge of her vision which sent chills down her spine. They wanted vengeance. Yet the cause was unknown to her and at that moment, she didn't care.

Paint let out a huff as she ran along side the she-wolf, part of her coat was singed although it was mostly absorbed by the water that had soaked her pelt. "Star! Get back to the pack area, get your head back in the game and focus!" she barked harsher this time. It wasn't out of anger but Star was slowly going to kill herself if she wasn't wanting to come back to reality. There wasn't any real way that Paint could help the fire, she could only make it worse but that wouldn't stop her from trying to help the pack members get rid of it. Bright green eyes gazed back at the fire that followed them and she muttered something sharply under her breath, in one large area the fire singed out and only darkness was left but then it came back quickly yet a bit less surging. Her pace slowed and her eyes dulled showing from a large amount of energy loss.

Star was jolted back into her senses as a scorched branch p;plummeted to the ground right before her, causing her to leap over the burning log as she sprinted for camp. Embers simmered under her paws, burning the hard gray skin.

Paint's head whipped back to watch the fire follow them but when she looked forward there was a crackling long that cover her path yet it was too late for her to notice. It smacked it's way into her chest and knocked the wind out of her, only leaving the female t take in heavy breaths of smoke with pure ash. The flames lapped against her muzzle and side as the protection of the water had gone they now scorched her skin and fur with her trying to regain the breath that was lost. After a moment of the painful licks from the fire Paint got up once more and jumped over the log and rushed into camp yet she stayed on the out skirts of it. trying to fight the fire as best she could.

{ Sorry I've been busy since I just got grounded but am not anymore so I'm reading where I left off on one of my RP's which is at 602 pages }

Star collapsed somewhere as she paid no attention to where. "Oh Naomiki..." she whispered as she remember ed her dead mate who had died a few years back by a dreadful battle between her old pack and a hidden threat, along with another pack.

Paint watched Star flop down but she just left her, the thing she needed the most was to take a small rest and regroup. She shook her head then looked at the rest of the pack,"If you guys are going to be in the pack then you better help save it." she barked harshly seeing as they weren't doing much of anything to help.
