Kootenai looked at Whillow, tears rolling down his face. His head was spinning. He felt his world falling apart..... "Its ok Whillow." He said and watched Saka try to crawl away. He followed her, not wanting to leave her side.

"Kootenai.... im so sorry..." she backed up and looked at her hind leg, she had lost feeling in it for good...

Kootenai tried his best to smile. It wasn't working. "Its ok Whillow." He said. He noticed her leg. "Is your hind leg ok?"

"I think the cold took it... i cant feel it at all..." she sighed and shook her head "The water was so cold..." she tried to smile back but only a frown full of pain happened

Kootenai walked over to Whillow and then looked back at Saka, making sure she wouldn't get away from him. He needed Saka badly....... Kootenai then focused back on Whillow and warmed up his paws. He then began to rub his soft, warm, large black paws on her leg.

she shook her head "It wont work, ive seen wolves lose legs before from the cold... nothing can help" she used her paw to put his paws on the ground

Kootenai looked at Whillow, with his sad eyes. Sadness rushed through his body. He put his head down, nothing was happy right now. He felt helpless.

she stared at him for a moment before leaning down and nuzzling his cheek "Dont be sad... please"
