She hopped thru the forest until she came across a small clearing. Her friends would always warn of the dangers of being in a small clearing. But she didn't care right now. She passed thru and suddenly there was a SNAP and the next thing she knew, was that she was howling in pain and laying in the grass. "Stupid bear trap!" She thought as she roared for help and in pain.

Aurum perked up when he heard the roar. A bad feeling crept up around him. 'What if that dragon is attacking Fay?' Aurum thought. He quickly picked up his pace, following his instincts. He partly guessed that Liza might have thought the same thing as he did. He also partly thought that Liza would not object to what he was doing. Aurum leapt into the small clearing.

Liza had tightened her grip on Aurum when he had picked up his pace. Liza heard the roar and thought the same thing as Aurum. She did not say anything when Aurum ran off. She trusted Aurum. When they arrived at the clearing, she saw Kirian stuck in a bear trap. She recognized the dragon as one of the other wild dragon that she met earlier with Eliah. Liza jumped off and rushed to the dragon. She gasped when she saw the bear trap tightened around Kirian. Liza felt wary of the dragon. She also knew that Fay was still out there, lost. However, her heart told her to help. Before she could stop herself, Liza's nimble fingers wrapped around the bear trap, trying to undo it.

She looked up to see the same human girl whom she'd met just a while ago. She saw her trying to undo the latch while she lay there in pain. "Why are you helping me?" She said and roared in pain again, but this time tears coming to her eyes, but not flowing

Pest snorted and followed the growl. He came up upon the little hatchling stuck in a small hole and attempted to pull her out, yet it was no use.

Jessica laid her head in mud and whined gently. "It's no use." She whimpered softly and looked ahead.
