Surprise flickered through Kass as she was...directly addressed by the Alpha, and even more so, offered prey? She dipped her head respectfully to the Alpha. "Good morning, Alpha. While the prey pile is low, it appears hunting is good today. I think a group already went out. Is there anything I can do to help around here?" She asked. Then she nodded towards the freshly caught prey. "And you, as Alpha, should eat before any of us get the chance. Surely you know that."

He smiled and said, 'Oh, I do. But pack goes first.' he looked down at the prey and put his paw on it and slip to the black she-wolf. 'It's my call when food goes low.'

Kass smiled good herself, ever so slight, and dipped her head to the Alpha. "Won’t you at least share, then? I’d feel bad eating, knowing my Alpha has not had his share of the food yet."

Kass did relax after that, and shot him a sweet smile. "Thank you, Alpha," She told him. The Amber Pack was not known for their kind or generous hearts, but even amidst it all, between Packmates, they did take care of and have respect for one another.

He smiled. 'My pleasure, tell me if you need anything else!' he stood up and then walked away.

Kassandra's smile grew just the slightest bit. No matter what the Silver wolves thought of them, even amongst their rank, there was kindness. She was just a regular member of the Pack. She was nothing special, and yet, she’d been approached and given food directly from their Alpha, and while perhaps yes, a small gesture, at the same time, it meant much.

A scent, slight as it may be, drifted on the wind. Karter was instantly on his feet again, turning towards the source of the scent, every muscle tensing in case he needed to either fight or get Navii and Kai out of there. However, he recognized Amber scent mixed in. "Who’s there?"

Karter let his fur lay flat again, shaking out his pelt as if that could clear the tension, and he dipped his head to the Hunter as he came into view. "Of course. Sorry for the...suspicion. I’m here for protection, guess I took that a LITTLE too seriously."
