I wasn’t sure if you had some ability that would let you. That is unfortunate though.” The dragon said sincerely, although perked up a bit at the talk of cooking. “I am quite a fan of cooking as well- if you wish, I can procure plenty of ingredients and herbs. Maybe figuring out the right recipes without such senses can make it into a bit of a challenge mode.” He suggested. “And of course I would be happy to join, thank you- I don’t often have the chance to eat what others have made, and maybe I could help find you something enjoyable in return. Perhaps you can enjoy the textures of things..?” Camilo wondered aloud, considering their options. Even without a knack for tasting, the warmth of soup or crunch of something could surely still be enjoyed.
The conversation shifted when they entered the library, the green-haired man’s voice lowering to a hush as he spoke to Ezekiel again. “Ladders would work, although if I am free then you are welcome to ask for a ride.” He offered, although Camilo’s attention was drawn mostly to the marvels of the floors and floors of books. There were bound to be tomes of unimaginable topics here, and the dragon barely resisted the temptation to fly up to the books towards the top. He certainly had enough room to transform, although maybe getting back out the door like that could be a challenge. He was so distracted by this thought that he had not noticed the actions of his companions, although once he grounded himself he glanced over his shoulder at them. “Have either of you been to the top before? There could be some books that others might not want to share.” As he spoke, his pupils had already rounded a little in curiosity and more emerald scales had started to shimmer down his forearm.
Cyril Asterlapse - form - 17 years - (dorm 3B); location: academy yard - tags: Zephyr, TanwenThe unicorn grinned appreciatively up at Tanwen when she responded, eager to see the demonstration in person. As interested as he had been in weaponry, he had only had to rely on his himself for any fighting he had done. Even if he didn’t plan on fighting, knowing one’s way around a weapon could make them more resourceful. “Thank you! I’ll be a bit of a novice in the class, so I’d appreciate it.” He said honestly.
At Zephyr’s spin, Cyril played with his hair a little in embarrassment. He didn’t often give compliments, so the phoenix’s show wasn’t quite how he had expected him to take it. At least the appreciation was there. “Ahah, I guess you’re right there. I’ll have some time to perfect it when I need to.” The unicorn appreciated the other’s words, even if he did seem to take his time less seriously than Cyril himself intended to. The ease he had been feeling in that moment had changed to something a little more stressful though as the topic changed. “It was fun when I last did it, although other than for the occasional reach for something on a shelf I think it was a few years ago. I wish I had done more with it when I was younger so I could at least have some confidence in my abilities… and you’d be surprised.” Cyril rolled his eyes a bit at the last part. “A horn, wings, both- there’s an awful lot of supernatural species related to horses, as you can imagine. I guess that makes us interchangeable to some, and frankly I don’t fault them for it. Even if the word horn is almost in the name.”
The teen’s eyes shifted to focus on Zephyr again when he mentioned healing abilities. He had heard of a phoenix’s tear having such a power, but he wasn’t sure exactly how it worked or the action on the part of the Phoenix. If even Zephyr didn’t know, then maybe he would never learn- or perhaps Cyril’s experiences could help them find out. “Hmm, maybe it works like my horn..? If something is wounded and touches it then it automatically heals, although the magic I have been learning with studying is moreso with different types of healing. Purification of poisons, curses, and infection for example, or the regeneration of limbs. If it’s from a tear though then it seems like your healing might come at a cost…” Cyril said thoughtfully, although looked back up to him with a small shrug. “Unless you’d like us to test it out by making you cry laughing, although I’m not too great with that I don’t think.”
Glancing back to Tanwen, he tilted his head curiously. She had seemed a little lost in thought, and Cyril was a little worried that she had felt excluded from the conversation. “You thinking about something?”
