➣It has been exactly five years since the outbreak. Casey had established her home in an old cabin that use to be a getaway hotel for her group to reside in about 3 years ago. Behind the cabin they had planted fruits and vegetables to live off of and the occasional rabbit or two..sometimes even a deer will last for a month or so. Casey's horse Mercury resided in a stable they had built a year ago but it wasn't the best since they were limited with the noise making and lack of tools to build. They also store their loot in the barn as well since the group only has one horse. So far the phoenixes have thrived for this long now and Casey hopes it stays that way.

Paw steps were heavy and quickly approached Casey. Artemis had a rabbit in her jaws as she looked up at her owner. "Good catch girl." the woman said as she knelled down and praised her dog as she took the rabbit. Placing the rabbit in a satchel, the two began walking back towards the cabin. The only faint noise was the paw steps and the clanging of two engagement rings hidden underneath Casey's shirt

Makota walked through the woods not far from her group’s base. Her mind was set on catching more food. Her bow was thrown over her shoulder, and her quiver was resting on her back. She walked quietly through the trees, her footfalls coming almost silent and Stark remained silent as he followed quickly at her feet.

The girl was tracking a set of fresh footprints in the mud that had not yet dried, she was almost certain that they were made by a squirrel. Yes squirrels were small, but they were in no position to turn away meat at this moment in time. She knelt down next to a tree as she spotted the small mammal scampering near the base of a tree. Stark became still and knelt at her feet. She quickly snatched the bow and readied an arrow. She positioned herself and watched the mammal for a heartbeat longer before letting the arrow leave the bow, striking the animal. She stood as Stark darted to the squirrel to check it out.

Kai had been in the woods for a long while, honing her senses on every tiny noise. She had heard a rabbit, a squirrel, and what she assumed was a wolf or possibly a wild dog. Suddenly, she heard a voice, "Good catch girl." Kai furrowed her brow, not recognizing the voice. She stood with caution, trying not to make a sound as she approached the voice. She soon saw a woman with dark brown hair walking with a dog. Kai took a step toward the woman in an attempt to follow her, when she accidentally stepped on a branch. The branch broke with a crack as Kai prayed that the woman hadn't heard her.

➣Casey stopped dead in her tracks when she heard a branch snap. She had her bow ready with an arrow as she turned around to see where the noise came from. Artemis turned around and growled as her ears perked and began walking to where the sound came from. Casey followed her companion until she said "Lateri." and with that, Artemis began treading lighter on her paws and began circling wide around to the left as the woman kept going straight on. Casey's footsteps were lighter as well and with her hair pulled back out of her face and crouched down a little as she kept going. She assumed it was just a walker but they make noise with their weird...growling noises but she didn't hear that at all so there was only one other thing in the woods..a person.

Kai listened as the woman froze in her tracks. Her dog growled and they both began to walk towards her. Kai began to panic. She stayed as still as possible when the woman said "Lateri." The dog began to walk towards Kai's right. Kai was practically hold her breath at that point, hoping that she could find some way out of this situation. With that, Kai decided to bolt to her left.

Makota smiled lightly at Stark as she followed him to the squirrel and scooped it up and placed it in her bag. She stroked the cat’s fur before letting him jump up to lay across the both of her shoulders while she headed back to the Leopards’ base. She kept her footfalls light and as silent as she could. She listened to her surroundings closely and watched as well for any movement while she walked.

Arthur sat outside on one of the uppermost balconies. He used a small table to prop his feet on, leaning back in his chair while pondering in an idle manner. His gaze was cast out to the area in front of the cabin, glancing around lazily for anyone, or anything, that might be in the forest ahead. His hair was messy, not dirty, and a drowsy expression was visible. Arthur was slowly coming to his senses as he became more aware of his surroundings. The male started to wander away from his idle thoughts as they finally started to drag his mind into a place he didn't want it to go. And- well, his stomach began to demand food. The male sighed softly to himself and removed his feet from the small table, planting his feet on the ground before standing. Arthur walked indoors, closing the sliding door behind him before walking past his bed and out of his bedroom and down the stairs towards the kitchen. As he walked down the stairs he felt a yawn coming. Yet, despite his efforts, his body made him pause on the stairs and yawn. While he yawned he brought his right hand to his mouth, covering it. He shook his head, rubbed his right hand over his face before focusing on going to the kitchen. He had two priorities as he went into the kitchen: he needed to get some breakfast and check their food stock.

➣Casey stopped to listen for any noises of someone sneaking or running. Her dog kept slowly circling around her left keeping quiet until commanded to do so. With her bow still at the ready, the woman began to go right to see if she could catch a glimpse of who the person could be or..whatever it was. Soon the woman heard the thing bolt off towards her since she went right and passed right by Casey. It was a woman fiery red hair running through the forest in the opposite direction from Casey's camp..thank the heavens. Artemis bolted after the woman and was soon at her heals barking and nipping at the woman's heels hoping to trip her. Casey began running after her dog to make sure that the woman didn't bring harm to her beloved companion; if so..then it wouldn't be a pretty first introduction.

Kai ran with the dog barking at her and biting hat her heels. Kai's legs pumped as she sprinted further and further away from the dog. At least, that's what she was hoping. The dog caught her ankle and caused Kai to fall face first into the dirt. She rolled over onto her back to face the dog and whoever was chasing her.

Makota froze as she heard fast footsteps quickly approaching her direction since she was near her camp. She slipped behind a tree and out of sight, pulling her bow with an arrow ready to fly. She waited until she saw Kai, her medic, fall to the ground with a dog close behind. Not wanting to hurt the dog, she sent an arrow sailing past it’s face but it didn’t touch it. The arrow was just to make the dog pause. She readied another arrow for whoever the dog belonged to and stepped from behind the tree, Stark now perched on one shoulder and ready to leap if need be. “Kai. Are you good?” she asked, arrow still readied.
