Xander knew that most of the plants that Eliot listed were obviously dangerous. Of course, nobody would want to touch something with the word "poison" in it, much less eat it. And stinging nettles sound like they hurt a lot. Though, Xander was confused on what a carrot was. He knew it's probably a stupid question, but in his life prior to being disowned, he only ate Fish Food and was never allowed to leave his own room. He looked at Eliot and silently asked, "What's a carrot?"

"you've never eaten a carrot? carrots are root vegetables that are usually orange. but i think there are purple ones too? no clue, if i'm being honest." he grinned at eliot's peculiar choice of plants and extended his right hand. "glad to know you have some spunk. sorry 'bout that, xander doesn't like meeting new people. i figured the promise of violence in return for violence seemed like a good way to make him feel better. we got into a spat with some anti-supernatural guy last night and it got pretty... intense." he chuckled nervously, glancing at the woods.

Xander looked at Jace and nodded, then silently said, "It's kinda not good from where I came from. In my old home, I used to be locked up in my own room-" His tone went almost haywire towards the end. He didn't mean to say that. You see, THIS is why you don't let your guard down! he thought, mentally beating himself up. His grey eyes looked almost frantic and scared. Xander then said, in a more hissing kind of tone, "Neither of you heard that!"

jace flinched as xander hissed at them. "hey, bro, it's not a big deal. we've all had it pretty rough, thats why we're here. to escape whatever had been happening at wherever we were before." he hesitantly reached towards xander before thinking better of it and sighing. "i wont tell anyone. you wont either, right eliot?" he glanced at the elf, an uncertain frown tugging at his mouth.

Xander tried to curl himself into a ball and began crying. He looked up at the sky, looking at the clouds. He then looked down at the grass, just staring at it. He muttered something over and over again. He didn't like the situation he got himself into at all.

Lexi walked barefoot along the garden wall that Phoebe was sitting on. "Yes, what now, mighty Declan? I don't understand why Phoebe gets to have all the fun. I did a good job as Isabelle the other day."
"Shut up. You'll get your orders later. Maybe if you hadn't kicked me, you'd be allowed to do something," Declan said to Lexi. His injuries were completely healed thanks to the healers back at their headquarters, but that didn't stop him from holding Lexi back from participating. He looked at Phoebe. "Just make sure you keep an eye on them and don't give yourself up."
Lexi flipped her hair. "Whatever, you deserved it," She said. She smiled at Phoebe. "Have fun, kitty!" She said, in a mocking sort of tone.

Nessa startled as he called her out, but she found herself walking forward to sit in the chair. The cards spread before her were beautiful, however, that still didn't stop her from feeling wary of whatever they would say about her. "Hello..." She murmured. She wasn't quite sure if he was joking as he called the cat a wench, but she laughed quietly along with him.

stella giggled at tatum's remark. she had wished she had a sibling of some sort to do the same. i's very nice to meet you all, and your pink hair very well does suit you. stella smiled brightly, her whitened teeth showing through her dull pink lips.

Xander looked up at Eliot, and nodded. Xander was still teary eyed and his breaths were shaky, as he was still trying to forget that any of that ever happened. At least I wasn't stupid nor careless enough to tell the part where my parents, if they even existed at all, disowned me... He thought, being thankful that he never said a word about it.

jace reached over and gently wiped the tears from xander's eyes with his thumb. "see, your secrets safe with us." he smiled a bit, nodding at eliot. "sorry for the hostility. i'm a bit.. well, more than a bit on edge. i'm not usually such a psychopath." he kept glancing at xander from the corner of his eye as he spoke, unable to wipe the concern from his expression completely.

"-saying that he was a better shapeshifter than you and you accidentally crushed them?" Tatum finished. She laughed.

"I was like nine! And I didn't mean to break them," Kayla protested.

"So, Stella's glasses are broken, and I thought you could fix them."

Kayla
"Ohhh, okay, wait. So you just came here to use me and make fun of me? I see how it is." She was joking, of course. She turned back to Stella with a smile. "Yeah, I can fix them if you want. Can I see them?"
