In all honesty, part of him still expected all this to be some kind of trap. He wouldn't be surprised. It just made him all the more cautious and wary. But still, a part of him was also grateful. The doctor didn't have to do this for him. While he waited, Meridian once again tested one of the bars with his strength, it bending more now that he'd eaten and had something to drink. He hoped that the doctor wouldn't notice, when he returned.
Taking the food- and the milk - Meridian briefly smiled again. "Thank you..." he said, then hesitantly took a bite of a cookie, setting the plate and glass on a low table that was in the cell, so that his hands weren't completely full.

He could do this. He knew what to say, right? He didn't have a set speech as such... but he knew that he could say what felt right. Cyrus approached Nathan's cell, ignoring that Luna and Liam were still there - they seemed to be doing their own thing anyway, and not paying attention. He stood a couple of feet away from the bars, just out of reach. "...Nathan, yes?" He asked, only knowing the name because William had told him. "You know, when I came down here earlier, I did not expect to leave feeling... confused. And I've never felt confused or unsure of myself. I've been fighting with myself about coming back down. I even considered leaving until you went back to the other villains. I had to ask for advice because..." Cyrus hesitated. He hated talk like this. But he pushed through. "...Because I like you, and I don't believe in any of that 'love at first sight' crap, but..." he shook his head slightly, "...but us won't, can't, work out well. And that's it." He glanced towards the floor.

Aries jumped into the sewer, following close after Adian. "Alright, let's go." He nodded, he moved some of the cement and floated it into the air. They sharpened to a point, in case he needed a weapon.

Beatrice leaned against a wall of her cell, her head still held high. She had been here for about three weeks and still refused to say anything, especially to her traitor of a brother. She coughed, it came out sounding very dry. Due to her powers, she only received enough water to sustain her body so she couldn't use it to escape. She sighed and finally sunk down, her legs a bit too weak to hold her up anymore, it was so dry here, like a damn desert. She ran the back of her hand across her forehead, beads of sweat had begun to gather. She watched the sweat swirl around, it wasn't like she hadn't tried to use her sweat to get out before, but there just wasn't enough.

Luna had begun slowly drifting off, it was a comfortable silence. She didn't notice that Cyrus had returned until he started speaking. Her eyes snapped open and her body tensed up. But he didn't seem to have paid attention to the physical contact between them, so she relaxed a little but, but not enough to go unnoticed.

Sinner smirked up at her from his pinned position. "I knew that'd get you to come out." He growled out, letting the flames around him rise up. "They're locked away in my base, being treated well." He growled out at her, his eyes glowing angerly. He didn't much like being pinned but he enjoyed their game. "You know I wasn't always a villain. I wanted to be a hero. And do you know what the man you looked up to so much said to me? With the powers and the way I was I'd never become a hero. It hurt. A lot. But you know what in a way it made me stronger and realize heroes are just as bad a villains are. I enjoyed the look on his face when he saw me a the Nightmare Villain King. I became the every thing I didn't wish to be, but now that I am I couldn't be happier."


Adian/Male/20/Villain/Zeneth Strider, Analise


Adian smiled and followed along, making his shadows hide them as they moved. He was ready for anything down here. He kept his shadows at points ready to strike if needed.


Liam Williams/Male/20/Captured Villain/Luna

Liam looked up to see Cyrus return. He tightened his grip on Luna just a bit as he glared at him. He shook his head and looked down, going back to doing what he was doing before, his eyes closing once more.


William Evans/Male/23/Hero/Open

William sat back down at his desk to do more work, but stumbled slightly. He caught himself on his desk, so he didn't fall. "Weird...." He mumbled to himself as he sat at his desk.


Arrous/Male/24/Villain Doctor/Meridian Novak

Arrous smiled kindly. "You're welcome." He sat against the bars his back to him. He was letting his guard down and that was dangerous. He sighed softly and closed his eyes, letting himself relax as quietness greeted him. He enjoyed being down here with this hero and it was making him soft and kinder.


Nathan Matthews/Male/25/Captured Villain/Cyrus

Nathan looked up, from where he was sitting to see Cyrus standing there. He smiled happily and walked over to the bars. "Yep that's my name." He said softly to him. He listened to him softly, the look on his face falling. "Y...yeah... I like you too..." He said his voice just above a whisper. "Yeah I'm a villain and you're a hero....it won't work...can't..." He voice was breaking. "It's fine...It doesn't matter anyways." He said moving away from the bars and sitting in the farthest corner, head on his knees.

Meridian ate, taking his time, pacing himself and also appreciating the quiet and company. He wasn't too worried about escaping or being rescued now - he knew one or the other would happen. He had something of a plan already now, and having the chance to eat was helping. He had no idea how to get out of the base, sure, but he figured that he could work it out.
After he finished, Meridian walked a little closer to the bars, then he also sat down. Even as he sat, he was at least a head taller than the doctor. "I don't regret getting captured, you know. It prevented my brother getting taken." He said, his voice quiet.

Cyrus glanced up towards Nathan for a moment, his heart heavy, and his jaw hurting a little. He'd poured his heart out, and he wasn't sure if that had been a good idea or not. "I know... I..." he hesitated, then shook his head slightly. At least he'd said something. But knowing that it wouldn't work... he wasn't sure if they could even try. "I'm sorry." Cyrus said, then he turned to leave before noticing Luna and Liam. He glared at them. "What?" he asked, sharply, then he bent and shifted the light particles around him, so that he could become invisible, before starting to walk off, towards the elevator.

The thought of her team still stayed a priority in the part of her brain that had continued acting as it usually did, brainstorming strategies and rescue routes if anything went wrong. But the other portion of her brain was the latter, a strong anger building up as she began to think over his words. She didn't have time for this, she knew, flames biting at her ankles, lungs on the verge of causing her to collapse, but the pride she held in the man who had raised her kept that small part of her irrational. "You don't know what you're talking about." Her jaw began to lock, determination setting in "That man raised m-the team to new highs, and built on the moral integrity that holds my group up. Unlike you, we have standards to meet, and a code to follow." Her breathing became heavier as Salus continued to push her body, brain longing for rest as she held back a gasp for air. "If you think this is happiness, you're delusional." Her voice was sharp with the defending tone of a hero unsure of the truth in her rival's words. She needed to get back on task, or she would leave all reason behind.

Aries continued walking, taking the necessary turns and manuvering through the system with ease. He vaugely wondered how Sin would react to his rather drastic change in appearance. Last time their leader has seen him, he'd been a gangly teenager with very little muscle. He had become taller over the years, and bulked up. He couldn't help but feel nervous, though he wouldn't let it show. He stopped at another manhole covering, then used his power to push it off.

Luna rolled her eyes at Cyrus. "Drama queen." She muttered, her finger going back to drawing smooth circles on Liam's arm. "I wonder who decided it was this way? Who decided what made a hero, and what made a villain... We're all people in the end, aren't we? Labels shouldn't have the right to dictate who you want to be with." She said in an unsure tone, mostly talking to herself. It had always been something she wondered about, the line between good and evil, and why it was drawn. She always figured that when it came down to it, you're still a person in the end.

"I think I hear them..." Analise said softly. She was with Adian, hiding in his shadows. She heard Sinner's voice, which was due to her extremely strong sensitive hearing.
Her shadows moved forwards, nothing more than a night breeze. Sin Sin Sin.

She teleported to the top of Sinner's cell.

Analise had too changed. Instead of being a young raven-like girl, she had put on weight and muscle, and had truly mastered her craft. her eyes shone with a new alert upon seeing her leader. Her eyes flashed at Sinner just as an alert. And a warning to keep quiet.

The look on Sinner's face became one of anger, as his flames rose higher. "Oh I do child." He growled out. "Some man he was. You didn't see the half of it. The things he did when no one was around. He wasn't the greatest hero around behind closed doors." He snarled out at her. "And this is my happiness. Now that he's gone I couldn't be happier. I have a family that I love and care for and they love me. I've taken them in when no one else would. So tell me dear why do you think they follow me if I'm as bad as everyone makes me out to be?" He noticed Analise, giving her a smile. But with a wave of his hand to told her to go back to the others. He knew that if she was there that the others must be on there way and he wanted them all together.


Adian/Male/20/Villain/Zeneth Strider, Analise


Adian looked over at Zeneth. He had gotten taller and put on muscle. He looked really good and knew Sin would like it. They all had gotten stronger and looked better since Sin was locked up. They had all bulked up and looked stronger. He kept his eyes out for any cameras and when he saw any of them, he covered them with his shadows. He stopped beside Zeneth when he moved another manhole.

Liam nodded, relaxing at her touches. "I agree with you. But heroes are good, strong, brave and help the people. Villains are cruel, uncaring, brash and violent in the people's eyes. And yes in the end we are all just people, but labels are labels and I agree with you, but the people don't." He said softly against her back.

"I guess I understand the need to defend and protect siblings. One of the ones you have captured has a sibling here. He was beyond angry about it." He said, closing his eyes.

Nathan looked up, rushing to the bars, slamming into them in the process. "Wait please don't leave!" He cried out, reaching out from the bars for him. "Please!" He yelled out not caring Liam and Luna could see him bending and breaking at the seams. He didn't want Cyrus to leave him. "Please come back! Please!"

Aries sighed when Analise disappeared. "What was the point of going through the sewers with the goal of being undetected if she's just going to do her weird shadow hopping thing?" He sighed, massaging the bridge of his nose. "Adian, looks like our cover is blown. Call the team at the Hero HQ, tell them to go. We lost our advantage." He said, before jumping from the sewer and grasping the edge of the manhole and pulling himself out. They were now behind the prison in one of the three blind spots between the cameras.

"Heroes believe that people are born inherently good, but they're wrong. People aren't born good." She said quietly so only Liam could hear. "People are born with nothing, a few words can influence how someone turns out. Opinions can be swayed, sides can be changed." Luna muttered. "Humans don't have the right to say if someone is a hero or villain, they're so entitled, but what right do we really have?" She pondered on the thought.

He tensed up slightly, surprised, feeling the doctor take one of his hands, but then he relaxed a little. And, it was true, he supposed. He knew Cyrus was protective over him, and he had no doubt that he was also furious over Meridian being captured, and was coming up with a plan to rescue him. It was odd, thinking that such a parallel existed between the two sides. Protective siblings looking to rescue their captured sibling. Things, he quickly realised, wasn't as black-and-white as he'd thought. "I... I wouldn't have thought there'd be such similarities, in a way, between the two sides..." Meridian admitted.

He was not a drama queen, how dare Luna suggested such a thing? Cyrus made a point of ignoring her and Liam, even though he was invisible at this point, and thus wouldn't be seen by them. He'd almost made it to the elevator, when he heard Nathan, and he stopped short. He was surprised, and it was almost heartbreaking to hear Nathan cry out like that. He breathed out slowly, unsure what to do. Then, he turned around and slowly walked back towards Nathan's cell, reforning the light particles around him so that he was visible once again. Cyrus stood about a foot away from the bars of the cell.
