xxHale brushed past the grasses, forcing through the cracks in the sidewalk, wishing for sunlight they now achieved. When passing across and to the playground, the older man set his hand on his belt again, probably a habit of his. "Hello" he remarked, breaking the silence between the men and the girl. Hale closed in the feet between them, waving as he came along (though in the end he kept his distance from both younger than himself). His smile grew warmer, "and good morning". A swelling breeze pushed past the group, tossing up Hales disgruntled dusky brown hair.

The smiled returned to Andrea’s face, but this time it felt less cocky and had more of a warm feeling to it. It was amusing watching the small puppy try to get to her, almost making her laugh at one point as it started jumping around. The harmless dog almost made Andi forget that there were two other men on their way over to her. Her focus on the dog shifted when she heard the older man say hello to her.

She ducked under one of the metal bars and jumped down to the ground, landing in a graceful crouched position, she kept her eye on the small dog as she turned her attention to the two men. Standing up slowly she twirled the knife between her fingers, as a warning to them if they tried to attack her. She studied them quickly, placing her left hand on her hip. ”Morning” she replied, shifting her glance between the two men. Andi wasn’t sure if they had any relation to each other, but one was definitely quite a bit older than the other. The breeze ruffled her hair slightly and sent a subtle chill arcross her face. She shifted her weight over to her left foot and glanced back at the dog [b]”Is that yours?”[\b] she asked, gesturing to the small dog that still seemed very happy to be in her presence.

Jay hurried in and out of his small makeshift hut, carrying as much dry wood inside as he could before the rain picked up.

His shelter was crudely crafted out of large logs, stones, and cement. There was a small loft where he slept, reasonably safe from small animals and bugs, and a firepit with a small stone slab on top for cooking. The wall closest to the firepit had a bulky metal pipe fixed to it, directly above the pit to funnel out the smoke. The opposite end had an old rusty mixing bowl taped on top, with a small broken branch inbetween the two, leaving a small gap for smoke but still keeping out rain and animals

After he had a decent pile of wood, he sealed the entrance shut with an old door wrapped in chains and razorwire and locked it in place. He decided that it would be good to stay sheltered until the rain stopped. Jay pulled a lighter out of his pocket and started a small fire for light and warmth, then climbed up to his bed and started to read a book

"Good morning." Kai replied to the girl.
He saw her fiddling with a knife between her fingers, and took a silent step back.
He then looked behind her, and saw an adorable little puppy. "Hm? Oh I'm not sure about him,"
he said glancing at the man next to him. "But it's defiantly not mine." What a cute puppy...
"Do you know if it's... wild? Or, mutated?"

The pup watched as two more humans came towards the girl. She gave a shallow whine as the human jumped down. She started running about the sturdy wood trying to find a way down. Should I jump down? No, no.. to scary! The pup stepped over to the slide. She took a sniff of it. Not the nicest smell. She placed a paw on it, the two... Then she slipped! Falling down the slide onto the bark. She gave another little whine. Then ran in between the girl and the men, barking as loud as possible. (What a attention seeker.)

xx"I don't own it-" Hale backs away, trying to see whether it was a danger to himself. The hand on his belt hovers over it now, ready to reach for something hidden inside his layers of ratty clothing. "Don't give it too much mind, just in case it's infected." That's the term Hale had found to use for the wild nightmares that lurked in the brush as much as he.

Hearing that neither of the men owned the puppy, she crouched down slowly, ignoring the older mans comment about leaving it along. Andi listened to the short whines from the dog and laughed ”I wouldn’t think it’s dangerous” she told them, offering her hand out to the puppy to sniff. She had a dog once before when she was a child, though it died of old age when she was only 8, ever since then she would beg her parents every holiday for a puppy.

The wind blew a tad bit stronger, enough to rustle the trees. She turned her attention to the sky for a second and frowned ”Dark clouds coming from the east, could be a storm” she muttered to them, glancing back to the small animal that had been jumping around them. Being out in a storm these days was not a bright idea, though the dark clouds didn’t necessarily mean it would be a big storm. Andi just figured that being safe was better than getting caught in the rain. She tightened her strap on her backpack, still crouched down to the ground with the dog in front of her.

Kai had one question in his mind. But who ARE these people?
He stared as the girl crouched down to the puppy. How kind.
He took a step between them. "So... you two are called...?" He was kind of desperate to find out.
The girl seemed kind, the man wise. The dog adorable, but, he had to find out. He couldn't wait any longer.

The pup took a small sniff of her hand. With her incredible senses she picked up everything.
And I mean everything. The pup took a look at the sky. Her ears and nose twitching.
She could sense it, another disaster, a natural disaster. A tornado?! The pup had to warn these humans.
Their senses aren't good, at all! The pup barked at the sky, then stared at the clueless humans.
How do I warn them? Think think think... Aha! The pup started running in circles, destroying grass and flowers in her way.

xxHale held his response, holding his gaze on the young girl and puppy for a few lingering moments. The man broke his gaze, those pale hazel eyes of his glancing to meet the boy who asked him a question: "Call me Hale." His hand stuck out, offering a handshake.

Andrea was only half paying attention to what the two men were saying, instead she had a puzzled look focused on the puppy. The small animal was running in circles, destroying the plants around her. She than glanced up at the sky, it seemed like the dog was barking up at the dark clouds. She stood up quickly ”I’m Andrea, you can call me Andi” she muttered, glancing around slightly as the wind picked up some more. She waited for the younger man to tell them his name before she spoke again.

”We should head for shelter” she told them, already thinking of them as part of her group, and partially thinki of herself as their leader. Though if they did decide to stick together, she wouldn’t end up being their leader. She glanced down at the seemingly friendly dog and frowned, debating whether or not she should take in the small animal.

Kai smiled to the two. "Call me Kai." He said. Kai looked up at the sky's dark clouds, it was starting to rain.
"Yea, let's get out of here!" He gestured towards the apartments, and then started rushing over to them.
Hoping the other two would follow.The rain crashed down onto him, making him wet.
I hate the rain! And the cold! Urgh...!

The pup stared at the girl. Then a pat of rain dropped onto her, then another! One of the humans started running off. The pup trembled, and stared at the girl in dismay. She won't leave me here? Will she? The pup looked at the girl, then rushed under the playground. It wasn't the best cover. But it'll make do for now. She looked at the girl one last time. Please take me with you.. I don't want to be stuck here!
