xxHale had only begun to see the figure of the apartments, carefully moving about the brush. He was resolved as he made his way closer to the structure, half crumbling from the weather and age, a crooked tree climbing out from part of the rubble. The clouded light hit the leaves just out of the perimeter of the land, giving the situation an air of tranquility: not too bright morning matched with a last night's chill.
Bringing himself to a halt just before the parking lot, the man paused to set down his bag, and re-strap his walking cane, not taking long before going forth once again. Not much to be seen, Hale helped himself to a stroll across the lot- he was not deeply rattled by the idea of what might be out there.

Kai exited the building, but paused as he saw a man. Who was that?
He cautiously stepped outside. He stared at the man for a moment. "Hello?" He called. He waited for the the man to turn around, Kai was a little frightened. The stranger seemed to be much older then him. Kai was prepared for the worst, with his hands ready to smoke him, in case he made any attacks on him.

xxOh? Hale's hand rose to help his sight. Of course, a voice had rung out in the area, and Hale seemed a little less than amused about it, or maybe a glint of sunlight made him cringe that way when looking about. It only took a short turn for Hale to figure out whoever called, was indeed addressing Hale. Though the figure so far away left much to be imagined, Hale seemed curious about getting closer. His hand dropped, and swung back down to his belt, responding back to the boy, "Oh, hello." The older man tried his best to get his message across, yet not wake up the wildlife much earlier than they needed to. It was certainly not on his bucket list to yell in such a place. "Do you live here?"

Kai smiled at the man. "Oh no, I just came here... to look for something."
Kai stared at the man for another moment. "I thought I was the last man alive.."
He smiled again. "Do you have any... powers?" He started showing off his powers.
Making smoke rise from his hands and controlling it.

Andi swung her legs back and forth, still taking in everything around her, after all the last thing she would want is one of those crazed mutated animals to sneak up on her. Her eyes peered to the left in the direction of the nearest few buildings. She squinted her eyes slightly at the sight of two figures in the distance, she bit the inside of her mouth before pulling her legs in and onto the sturdy flooring of the jungle gym typed plays set. She stood up slowly and took a few steps forward to the slide that would lead down to the ground, still trying to get a clear image of the two people. Both men for sure, normally she would have tried to stay hidden but the thought of her missing brother consumed her mind as she became more and more curious.

Seeing smoke rise from between them, Andi furrowed her brow. "Interesting" She muttered, picking up her small black bag and throwing it over one shoulder. She leaned against the frame of the playset, and stood watching them for a moment, trying to size up if they were dangerous or not to decide whether or not to go over to them.

xx"Then you must've had a sad life," Hale begun, a corner of his mouth pulling back into a soft smile, "being the last man alive is no easy feat." He moved himself closer, brushing some broken glass out of the way with his foot as he did so. Then, Hale found himself watching the kid form something from his palm- seemingly at free will. The formation was quite the magic trick. "I can't say that I can smoke a nice steak like you can," beginning to start a conversation with the other, yet he then cut himself off: "Though it might not be the best place to chat- out in the open."

Kai looked at the man. Questioning his statement.
"Right..?" He said. He looked over to the playground. He had caught a glimpse of movement.
"Look, over there." He said pointing at the playground. "It's another. A girl?"
He started to smile, again. "We should go say hi to her!"

The pup scrambled through the bushes. Once she had escaped their thorns she gave herself a good shake.
Getting rid of the dust and twigs on her pelt. Ahead she saw a colourful bunch of, mini buildings? How strange...
She spotted a human standing on top of them. She started barking, trying to get the human's attention.
Hoping, maybe she had just found her new owner..?

xx"...Be careful" was all the man said for now. He had gained his first impressions of this boy, and was putting them to good use- wouldn't be ideal that he let this young man be killed. Strength in numbers wasn't really his motto, but he at least had some respect for other people. You don't just leave a woman all out here by herself without offering to help. And with that decided Hale started in th direction of the playground.

Andrea leaned her chin on her left hand, switching which hand held the knife to her right hand just in case. Watching the two men head in her direction, she wasn't particularly nervous of whether or not they were dangerous. Ever since she had discovered her helpful ability to quickly react in combat situations as well as being proficient in weapons, she had felt almost invincible to harm. The left side of her mouth quirked upwards into a half smile as the thought of besting two men in a fight amused her, not that she would attack them unprovoked.

Her smile quickly dropped at the sound of a small barking from behind her, Andi quickly turned around looking for the source. She had yet to met a friendly animal since this whole ordeal began and was therefore quite, weary, to say the least. She tightened her grip on the handle of her small knife as she scanned the area, only to find a small fluffy dog standing below the play set. Andi muttered something under her breath and loosened up on the grip, surely an animal that small wouldn't be mutated like the others, and if it was it didn't seem threatening enough for her to have her guard up.

Kai hesitated for a moment. Then followed the stranger towards the playground.
He was questioning this man. Mysterious he was, but he also seemed quite friendly.
His statements, they sometimes didn't make much sense to Kai. But they were obviously wise.

The pup hesitated as the human turned, taking in her appearance, trying to figure if she was friendly or not.
The pup finally made her mind up and started running in circles around the playground.
Also while barking, in joy, of course. The pup was looking for a way to get up to the human. But gave up that and just
jumped up and down at the play-set, thinking maybe she could reach high enough to get inside a gap. Finally she found it.
And jumped up towards the human.
