"Are you sure you don't need us to stay?" Malik asks his grandmother for possibly the dozenth time, but he can't help himself. It's not that he's worried that something will happen while he and Imani are gone-his father and grandmother are some of the strongest people he knows, and without the strain of two teenagers on the household budget they might be able to start setting aside savings for Dad's retirement. It's more that he loves his family, passionately and without limits, and hates the thought of being away from them for so long. Nana just tuts, though, and hands him his suitcase. Reminds him that this will be good for him and Imani as well, that it does not just benefit her and Baba. Imani's free hand slips into his, and together they walk out the door to face this new adventure the same way they do every other one: together.

Malik is way more conflicted about this 'lunar falls academy' than Imani is, she notes with mild amusement but no surprise. Her twin brother has always felt things wholly and deeply, while Imani has always been content to drift on the surface of her emotions. It's not something she envies him anymore, not since she was able to understand how feeling so deeply caused him a lot of turmoil. Still, she can't help but be glad when he walks into the moonlight with her. The moment they're transported to the glade, her feet leave the ground. Nana had a strict 'no powers in the house' rule, and ever since they had discovered their abilities, she began to feel weighed-down in an off-putting way if she stayed grounded for too long. She knows the reverse is true for her twin, how he prefers to stay on the ground floor of buildings. She's almost surprised he hasn't shucked his shoes off immediately-they've become bothersome for both of them, but especially Malik. As they make their mismatched way towards the academy, she allows herself a thought that usually only comes to Malik. Whatever comes of this strange school, they will weather it together.

"Young man come downstairs! It's time to go." Shouted his mother in a high pitched voice as she kept on tapping her foot expectantly. Seconds didn't even managed to pass and he was already in front of the somehow frightening woman- which he disliked quite a bit (to say the least). In his head, his family manipulated him into becoming someone he's not- which he of course hated. He would always hear 'Grim reaper this','grim reaper that'. He was wearing a black cloak, black ripped jeans and a black long shirt. Of course, he didn't wear any colour. As his mother gave him the letter, the boy just grabbed it in a dismissive manner and went into the clean, dark kitchen, because he was a grim reaper, he didn't have a need to eat- although he couldn't taste it, he still loved some of the human foods simply because of their texture.

With a freezing cold smoothie he walked out of the house, invitation in his pale palm. He went to his huge garden and stood in front of the small fountain, the only place in the house that didn't smell of his parents. "Why couldn't they just give me the stupid adress..." He mumbled under his breath as he opened the envelope. He closed his eyes and soon he felt the magic around him growing- surrounding his whole body like water- or more like mud.

"I seriously hate teleportation." He mumbled as he slouched onto his huge scythe that appeared out of no where. It soon disappeared since Shin was too weak to summon it for long, leaving Shin to fall down on his knees. He begun swearing under his breath as he stood up, dusting himself off. He started walking slowly towards the academy, the walk wasn't long, however it wasn't very pleasant since the raven haired boy could still feel the magic on his body. If he were to describe this type of magic he would say: "a magic made by an idiot. Someone needs to ban this magic or fix it. It's even worse than Internet Explorer." He noticed a crowd in front of the school, he loved the fact that there is no humans, and most importantly there's no parents.

Shin strolled towards a place that wasn't as crowded. He stood near the school, leaning onto the wall close to the entrance waiting for something interesting; or not so interesting to happen..

Kyra stands in the doorway, looking out at the pouring rain, one of her knives twirling in her hands. *Sigh* She glances at her watch, noting that it's currently midnight. "Let's get this over and done with. Good bye Mum," she murmurs, glancing behind her at the stairs. Upstairs her Mother is lying in her bed, none the wiser of what her daughter's about to do. In her chest sits the urge to stay, ignore the envelope, stay with her Mum, but she can't bring herself to listen to it. Taking a deep breath, she steps through the door, a single bag on her back. The world seems to spin around Kyra, throwing her off balance. "What the-" she opens her eyes, finding herself lying face-down on the grass. She pushes herself up, spitting grass out of her mouth. "Where am I?" She stands up and starts walking before finding herself at the edge of a large clearing. "Woah."

jennie walked towards the front entrance of the academy building. felix gave her a meow to get her attention and looked up at her. his voice echoed in her head, i am going to explore the grounds. on any other day, she would be okay with him wandering around, he wasn't a house cat anyways. but this was a new place, plus he didn't know where her dorm nor her classes were yet. "how are you going to find the dorm i'm staying in?" she whispered back to the black cat. she knew she probably looked weird talking to her cat to others, but she was used to people thinking of her oddly. after all, she wasn't a regular human. the cat gave one brief look at her and scampered off. i am a cat. i have my ways. with a roll of her eyes at her cat, she continued walking towards the building entrance. upon seeing charmeine and her cat, jennie stopped and mouthed a hello to her cat from afar. as for charmeine herself, jennie didn't have much interest in talking with others, but she did believe that charmeine was super pretty...like in an angelic way.

the double doors seemed like a pull door when it was actually a push door, jennie tried the right door at first by pulling it. wouldn't budge at all. she tried the other door, still the same problem. suddenly she was annoyed, what was she supposed to do now that she was here if she couldn't get her schedule. a sharp sigh of exasperation escaped her lips and her arms were now crossed as she turned around to scan the grounds and decide what to do next.

taj let out a huff as he stepped unto his welcome mat. 'thank the gods this is the last time I have to do this,' he thought to himself begrudgingly. he glanced around at his surroundings quickly when he was transported. it was always the same, but always a little different. he headed toward his dorm.
the merman found his door quickly and dropped his bag off in the room. he could unpack later, or maybe he wouldn't end up unpacking at all. it didn't really seem that important at the moment. instead he decided to look around at the other doors to see who his floor mates were.
this was going to be a new year for him. no more worrying about his parents hopes, not that he really had in the past; he was no longer going to listen to their harping about his life and his future and how important the academy was. he was honestly tired of it... which is why he had decided to forget all about what they want this year and just have fun. he wanted to make senior year the best one yet.
taking in all the new students, he spotted one that stood out like a sore thumb. 'someone's not having a good day,' he thought to himself, staring at the girl in her pajamas and trying not to snicker too much.

the witch hugged her mothers goodbye as they told her they loved her and wished her luck; she was trying and failing not to get too emotional about the whole thing. she knew it wasn't forever, but she hated to leave her family and the comfort of normalcy. "I love you too," she said to them sadly before picking up their things.
she waited until exactly the right time to step in the doorway. liza was not one to risk disobeying rules. not without good reason, that is, and right now, she didn't have one. she closed her eyes and when they reopened, she was in a whole new world. well, a whole new campus really. after pulling herself together, she made her way towards the dorms, using a little magic to show her which way to go.
it wasn't really a bother. she simply took out her wand and cast a levitation spell on her luggage so that it would float along with her. why carry things up three flights of stairs when they can carry themselves, right? after finding her room, elizabella immediately began to unpack and decorate, using her magic to speed the process along. she liked to make her dorm homey and comforting, and she liked to be organized.
once satisfied, the curly haired brunette decided to head outside. she felt a headache coming on. 'nothing a little fresh air can't fix,' she thought to herself hopefully. grabbing a spell book, she made her way down the stairs and into the courtyard. she found a nice tree to sit under and smiled lightly to herself. after sitting down and getting comfortable, she opened her book and began to read.

Charmeine heads closer to the entrance doors, observing another girl who seemed to be struggling with the doors. She could sense the annoyed aura of the girl. Charmeine debates speaking to the girl back and forth in her mind. I should do something, my purpose is to maintain harmony. She quietly moves besides the girl, stopping in front of the doors. “I think the doors may open by pushing, instead of pulling”, Charmeine says quietly, praying she is not coming off as rude. Cassiel knowingly hops out of Charmeine’s arms. Charmeine moves to push open one of the doors, holding it open for the others. Cassiel scurries through the door and takes a seat by her feet.

Adrien grabbed his one bag and his invitation and headed towards his front door. He sighed and opened the door, trying to anticipate what was to come. The crisp night air slipped in immediately, and he stepped outside. At the last second, his dog, Lady, bounded out the still open door and into the night air. Adrien instinctively reached out to grab her collar and take her back inside, but the second he touched her collar, the air twisted around him, and he gasped, as they weren't in his front yard anymore. He looked around himself and his fingers slipped away from Lady's collar. The dog jumped away, and began to explore her new surroundings. Adrien watched, amused, as she spotted a pure black cat walking away from a girl who had been having trouble with the doors. Lady raced excitedly towards the feline, her tail wagging so hard she was practically shaking as she ran. Adrien laughed and began to walk towards his overexcited dog and the black cat that had piqued her interest in the first place.

Maya frowned as she looked around. Everyone else has all their stuff, and she was the only one who didn't seem prepared. She saw someone laughing at her and shot him a glare. "What're you laughing at?" Maya asked irritatedly. It wasn't her fault her dog insisted on going outside to dig in the yard. Of course, if she hadn't brought the letter outside with her, she wouldn't be there in the first place...

Miles walked around slowly, looking at everything around him. He didn't mean to stare at people, but everything was just so interesting... I wonder what their powers are? he thought to himself. Miles said, slightly nervous and somehow managing to overcome his shyness.

Lucy flew downstairs after she finally packed up all her stuff in about 2 suitcases, a duffel bag, her pink backpack, and a tiny purse. She pet her cat while she cried, wishing she never had to leave Lucifer.(the cat) She flew to the kitchen, and gave her mother a hug. Then She grabbed the suitcase and flew out the door. She reached down, and took out the invitation out of her purse, and waited. after a few minutes, she turned to go back inside, and was instantly teleported to the school grounds. Lucy walked inside the heavy doors, hoping that this academy will be the best years of her life.

While Shin was just standing by himself, waiting for God knows what, he suddenly heard a voice that was close to him. At first he ignored it- thinking that the person was just talking to someone else or that he was just imagining it, however after a second curiosity took over and so he decided to look up. His dark orbs that lacked any type of shine to the- that were completely blank, lingered on a dark haired boy- talking to him. Did he even know who he was approaching? Shin was sure that if the boy knew, he would probably leave- because who would even want to be friends with death- a grim reaper. Shin opened his mouth slowly in order to say something, to give some sort of reply. However, before a word escaped his mouth he closed it and begun to think of what to actually say to the boy that approached him. He wasn't sure if he should try to friendly, aloof or rude. "Hello there." He said simply as he attempted to smile- however only one corner of his mouth rose up awkwardly as he waved his hand in an unsure manner. He didn't know what the person may think of him- it wasn't that he cared, he jusr didn't want to make anyone dislike him at least not on the first day of school.
