- Raye held out her hand and her pen rushed into her palm. She began to write out her report. Small reports could be sent in basic paper formatting- inconsequential if they meant nothing but a retrial. Success was what was usually called in. That wasn't happening as of yet. She got about three words in before becoming frustrated and tossed the whole thing to the side. Usually, Raye loved working. But days like this where each repetition of failure became monotonous was hard. She stood slowly, gazing out her single, partially hidden window. The way her house/lab worked was that it was made to look like an abandoned building from the outside so that Starks and the monsters usually wouldn't attack it. It was lightly booby trapped though, so at least the animals couldn't get very far even if they noticed or strayed. Consistent with her hypothesis, she could so far see no one outside. She had an old model of a communicate beside her lab table which she picked up and fiddled with for a bit. As a scientist, when working became too hard Raye usually developed other creative ways to spend her time and to which devote her mind to. This was one of her projects. She had engineered this communicate to hack into some of the other channels. Nothing big, of course. She could get into a lot of trouble for that. No, she just listened in on day to day patrols and such as she began to clean up her mess. The smell of the beaker was pungent and very smokey. She wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible and maybe try again later on that evening.
