Crowley gave a hearty yawn, early morning sunlight shifting through the translucent panel dome of the greenhouse as he watered the garden. The onions looked nearly ready to harvest, but everything else was taking it's sweet time. As Lee continued his morning duties in the garden, the insistent cawing outside was getting louder by the second. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!" He shouted, rolling his eyes at the shadowy figures that swarmed outside. Finishing up, Lee slipped outside the greenhouse, careful to bolt the door as soon as possible so that the crows hanging overhead wouldn't get any funny ideas.

The crows gathered round, landing on posts, foliage and even the ground around Lee's feet; all awaiting the start of their usual morning ritual. Crowley reached into his messenger bag, pulling out a ziploc of seeds and breadcrumbs. Upon seeing the familiar bag, the crows became noticeably more excited. "If any of you try and steal it, I'll make sure none of you get anything for a week!" Crowley shouted a preemptive warning that quickly quelled the crows excitement, at least until a handful of the bird feed hit the ground. They wasted no time pecking it up and squawking among themselves over the food that Lee was doling out to them. He smiled warmly as he watched them, leaning back to watch the murder argue over their breakfast.

"She has fire powers like I do... Jessica was the first person I met when I got back, and she saw the peacekeeper not too far from here." Mavis said quietly. "Riley tried use her powers to hurt me, but I ended up stopping her outburst? I dont know how. " She looked down at the floor. "I dont want to be alone though. That's why I do walk around and stuff Cinder."

He was now only worried about what Cinder was saying.
"It would please me if you only went out to finish this once and for all. You've done a great deal already and I would prefer you not to get into any more trouble."
He left it at that, allowing Cinder to do her duties.

Cinder nodded her head and stepped away from David. “Okay.” She said quietly and turned around, taking Mavis with her. “Mavis, I’m going to put you back in your room and I’ll find a caretaker to tend to you. You can rest while you wait though.” She walked to Mavis’ room and set her down gently in bed. Cinder stepped back and sighed. “I’ll be back in a few hours. Do not leave this bed. Understand?” Before Mavis could answer, she quickly walked out of the room and up to David. “I don’t know if I have anyone who can take care of Mavis. Her and Mishka aren’t exactly on talking terms right now.” She ran her hands through her hair, unsure what to do. “Can you maybe just make sure she doesn’t walk around or anything. She’s not supposed to be walking at all with her ankle. I know it’s a lot to ask and I’m sure you’re super busy. I just... don’t know what else to do. I’m caught between a caretaker and and defender.” Cinder paced back and fourth a few times before coming to a halt. “I’ll just see if I can get back before she needs anything. It shouldn’t take too long.” Cinder whizzed off again, grabbing her coat before darting out the door. She stuck out her hand and a cloud of smoke floated in front of her. A lion popped up and she jumped on its back so that they could race off into the forest. It’s large stride made it easy for them to quickly return to where the attack had taken place. Blood covered the dirt on the ground and Cinder jumped off her lion and allowed it to dissipate. Slowly, the girl began walking in the direction that the wolf had run off in, keeping her eyes and ears sharp. The voices of all the animals in the forest was loud but she managed to tune them out. Right now she had one target. A half an hour passed and she still hadn’t seen anything yet. “Where are you?” She whispered quietly to herself.

Alexander seemed entranced by the object in the tree hole for a bit, then snarled at himself for being so interested. Thana looked visibly worried, as she buried her face into Alexander's arm. Before he could turn and leave the area, his ears started twitching, as he thought he heard a whisper. He carefully set his sister down on the ground, growling a bit, looking at the direction of where he thought he heard the whisper. Thana looked to see what her brother was looking at, and quietly said, "W-who's there?" Alexander sighed, and said in a growling voice, "I'll be back. Don't move a single inch, sister." He slowly started heading in the direction he was looking at, his ears drawn back. Thana looked down at the ground, wondering what was out there that had concerned Alexander...

Cinder froze when she heard a voice and she whipped her head around to try to find its source. She stayed quiet, wanting to be the first to find the stranger. Cautiously, she trotted to the right and looped around. Eventually, a boy came into view and she stopped. He had wolf ears and feet. Surely this was the wolf they had encountered yesterday. She touched her injured arm once before slowly stepping out of the brush and into view. “Hello.” She said slowly, smoke floating around her hand in case she needed to spawn her animals. However, she didn’t want to risk threatening the boy if she didn’t have to. It was surprising to her that it was just a kid and she felt bad for him. It was rough to be a loner at such a young age. “We met last night. Not sure if you remember.”

He noticed that the girl was a bit older than him and stepped back, ready to either run or attack. However, his ears were facing the girl, as if he was willing to listen. Alexander's pale blue eyes seemed to be judging the girl in front of him, as if he was trying to see if this girl was a peacekeeper or not...

Cinder eyes the boy carefully, allowing the smoke in her hand to fade. It seemed to agitate him. “You don’t need to attack me again.” She said slowly. “I don’t want to attack either.” Cinder crossed her arms. “However, you attacked my friend last night. I didn’t have a choice.” She looked past him. “You know what it’s like to protect someone you love. You have a friend too don’t you?” She tilted her head at him. “Anyways, I came to find you since we don’t like to leave humanoids out alone by themselves. I come from a place where a group of humanoids live together and take care of each other. We call ourselves the lost kids. I’m a defender from them. I was wondering if you needed a place to stay. It’s dangerous out here by yourself.”
