the phoenix project
ever since the experiments began, they have been called the ph
oenix project. their goal was to give people a second chance.
the first experiments to revive dead people failed horribly, resul
ting in a lot more deaths. scientists first perfected it on may sec
ond, 3026, when they successfully brought back a man named m
arkus manning with no complications. unfortunately, this appare
nt miracle was the beginning of a war.
the first batch of successes soon developed mental or physical is
sues that couldn't be explained. they realized that they didn't be
long in this new world and many of them... terminated their own
lives. a few, including markus, formed a group to attempt to stop
the revival of dead people. they knew the suffering would only c
ontinue and the institution's attempt to give them a new life was
pointless. it wasn't a life, just endless pain. this group, who calle
d themselves the saviors, only had one goal, and it was to let the
people from the past rest in peace. they spread their message al
l over the city with posters and graffiti. their message? i'ts not a
life.
it's now september of 3027, and in an effort to put an end to the
protests, scientists at the institution have begun creating weapo
ns. these weapons are revived humans from a long time ago, wit
h a few improvements. flesh parts have been replaced with mac
hines. bionic arms, legs, and eyes have increased their physical
abilities and should allow them to hunt down the saviors and en
d them once and for all. but some of these weaponized humans
don't want to follow orders.
