_____"Hey yourself," she smirked. Moving her arms from across her chest to resting her hands on her narrow but curvy frame, Ketsy rose a brow at his next question. "Yes, I wanna know-" she scoffed, an intrigued smile on her face as he spoke. "Ah- I knew it- something seemed off here..." she shook her head, letting out a soft sigh. "No screams to be heard- I wasn't here. I did, however, manage to check off two of my three targets this morning- I don't usually let my victims scream though..." she giggled. "Too much unnecessary attention in town, if you know what I mean," she said as if it were no big deal, but death never was. Not for an assassin.
_____Ketsiah noticed his change in expression- it was kind of her job to pay attention to small details like that. Just as she noticed the change, she did note how quick he reverted back to something more casual and calm. This is not the place, she reminded herself, realizing he probably didn't want to talk about it. "So what do you think this means for all of us then?" she wondered aloud, curious on his thoughts. She was about to open her mouth once more until Jen had called attention to the meeting, causing her to look at Parlando with a raised brow as she placed a finger over her lips, taking note of Lawrence as she joined the pair. The girl nodded, it all made sense now- to her anyways- that's why she had been assigned to take down those who wouldn't join the pack... they were a risk if they weren't an asset.

_____"No ma'am I wasn't," he joked- a bit of wordplay on her 'kid,' comment earlier. "You'll find me to be an honest man, every time," he winked, handing the bow over. He wasn't ashamed one bit- his ability was often in mechanical weaponry and throwing knives- but those were probably both too much of a risk to give the occupants. Vaereck watched her line her target up and hit perfect placing each time. The brute rose a brow however as she threw the bow to the ground.
_____"Allison, you okay?" he asked her curiously. Vaereck had seen that look before- on his sister's face when she had called him for help. His little sister often found herself in sticky situations she couldn't get out of. He always saved her though, and though she was grateful to him, she felt bad because it was usually a repeat offense of hers that put her there. "We should take a break, maybe grab food?" he asked, still not sure how everything worked there. Boy would it be fun at night time when he gets locked in.

_____Emily followed Gavotte as fast as she could through the darkening forest, clenching his hand tighter when she had to hop over things like fallen trees or rocks. The girl had kept up decently well, but she was definitely tired upon arrival. As the man who rescued her from her old home spoke to her, she looked up at him a bit timidly. He's going to leave me... here... alone? she thought to herself, unable to really bare the thought that she would have to be separated from him. Emily's gaze followed over to where the other child was at, a young boy who looked about her age. She looked up and nodded to be agreeable, but hadn't been too fond of the idea of leaving his side voluntarily.
_____Emily watched as Gavotte walked over to a woman, she didn't know who she was but she looked angry, so hesitantly, the girl took a few steps towards the group of people, looking around to see if anyone wouldn't mind if she just stood by them for a few moments. As the woman called attention, a few people had shuffled around her, and she eventually got knocked over by the large feet moving about. Emily quickly got up and brushed herself off, looking around the room in a bit of a panic. Finding Gavotte's face, she wanted to run over behind him, but also didn't want to collect any attention either.

She didn't understand, though, why the official who had done her shot would be fired. What had he done? Shouldn't they be going after the one who had been supposed to be doing the shot of the shifter who had escaped? Unless it was the same person. In any case, it wasn't Astrid's problem. She glanced at the woman before leaving, walking down the hallway away from the officials. She heard footsteps and sensed that someone was following her. She glanced back, and saw that it was the woman. Astrid self-consciously continued to walk, feeling uncomfortable with being followed.

Hearing his words her eyes widen, frowning at her lack of attention to these things. She walking over and bent to grab the bow she threw. Taking it up before walking back. She didn't need help, she couldn't ask him for help. This was only inside her head, she took a small breath as she place the bow back on the rack. "I'm not sure if it's meal time, Maybe we can go to the hung out room and see. But I'm not quiet sure." She said simply, she wasn't one to eat every much she usually doesn't unless someone brings her food even then did she really eat. She knew it was getting late, she wondered how much this they had before that were locked back inside. She needed not to let him wonder if she wasn't okay. That's why she simply ignored the question. She was better then this, and everyone knew it and that was the best. But something about him made her wanna talk to him.

GAVOTTE TENUTO

Alpha Male 37 Peaceful Nature
Tagged: Emily, Jennifer, pack

Gavotte stiffened at the surprise of the unexpected kiss, but he returned it nonetheless. What else was he going to do? Pull away? Despite everything, she was still his wife, the woman he loved most. Many things had changed over the years, but not that.
He stood beside Jennifer silently until she finished speaking. At this point, he already knew what happened to the traitor. He didn't even have to ask.
"A reminder that if you're feeling unsafe or worried, please come talk to me." The Alpha Male smiled at his pack as he took his turn speaking. "On a happier note, a new pup is joining us starting today. You may have noticed her when I brought her in. Please be kind to little Emily, as her home was attacked by what seemed to be the Shifters."
The poor child. It was a miracle she was still alive. Gavotte hated violence, but even he would fight anyone with ill will towards this tiny and innocent girl. All his protective fatherly instincts from when his own children were young had come back to him.
"Anyway," He addressed the rest of the pack again, "Are there any questions? If not, you may return to your duties. Remember to take care of yourselves."
He found Emily's eyes in the crowd. She looked smaller and more afraid than ever before, but Gavotte sent her a patient smile and stretched out her arms for her to come forward. Now that the meeting was reaching its close, he wanted to personally introduce the child to her new family. "Sorry I had to leave you, Emmy."

PARLANDO TENUTO

Alpha Heir 18 Calm Nature
Tagged: Ketsiah, Lawrence, Jennifer

Parlando let out a chuckle at Ketsiah's words, not even uncomfortable at the mention of death. His upbringing had desensitized him somewhat. Of course, he wasn't proud of this detachment, but it kept him alive in Asmodeus's current ruling. He didn't want to end up like... some others.
He noticed his friend Lawrence had entered the room a short distance away. He smiled in the lead assassin's direction, but he wasn't sure if she noticed. Oh well.
He paid attention to his mother's speech, but kept a calm demeanor through the whole thing. One of his friends from childhood taught him that calmness was a desirable leadership quality. In times like these, the Alpha's Heir needed to be a rock, a strong shoulder for his pack to lean on. One day, leadership of Asmodeus would fall to him.
Of course, Parlando knew exactly how his mother extracted this information. He never approved of torture as a method. Was it absolutely necessary to cause a human being unimaginable pain for the good of the pack? The traitor was a traitor, but he could still suffer as anyone did. His screams certainly proved that.
Parlando didn't quite believe the ends justified the means. There were probably better options. Although, at this point, he understood he couldn't convince his mother to change. He could only wait until his turn to lead.
"Understood," Parlando answered Jennifer once she was finished. His voice was loud and clear, and could be heard throughout the dining hall.
He turned back to Ketsiah, wearing a thoughtful look. "It means we should work harder. Things are tense, but all we can do is keep the pack running as smoothly as possible. If the Shifters attack, we need to be prepared."
Parlando kept his tone and body language calm and assured. It was easy, honestly, second nature to him at this point. Deep down, he despised war more than he despised the gum that teenagers spat on the city's sidewalks. He longed for a peaceful life of baking bread and decorating beautiful foods to post on Instagram. But, this was Asmodeus- not the serene paradise he dreamed of. Someone else had dreamed of making Asmodeus into a paradise, once upon a time.
And look what happened to her... the poor fool.
Parlando pushed the memory out of his mind and focused on Ketsiah. It was useless to dwell on the past. He couldn't bring back the dead, he could only try to push the living in the right direction.
"Congratulations on your targets, by the way. You do your job well," Parlando told her with an approving smile. While he didn't like murder and death, this was a form of, say, positive reinforcement. The one thing worse than murder was a long, drawn-out murder with screaming. Parlando thought his mother ought to learn from this young woman, but he would never say that. His days would certainly be numbered if someone heard him speak that way.
"What about the third target- any plans? I'd suggest to tag-team with a fellow assassin if Number Three's a tricky one. I would offer to help too, but my talents are mostly in the kitchen." Parlando let out a chuckle and crossed his arms over his broad chest. "Unless your target's a loaf of bread. Then I've got you covered."

SORREL JIN

Shifter 29 Vengeful Nature
Tagged: Open (in the kitchen)

After finishing the dishes, Sorrel had painstakingly dried each one with a towel until it shone. He organized each plate, bowl and utensil into perfect rows that lined up just so. Nothing was allowed to be out of place. Disorder and disarray were disgusting.
He checked over everything twice, making sure to nudge any stray plates back into line. It was oddly comforting to lose himself in the meticulous cleaning and sorting of household objects. Once he finished the job, he felt a sense of pride that he could do something. Sorrel wasn't a hero or a chosen one. He didn't believe he ever could be- he wasn't an idealist like Sycamore. But, at least he could clean dishes.
After washing his hands one more time, Sorrel walked to the kitchen table and sat down. What now? He felt the need to thank the officials for not locking him in a sterile room, but he had no idea how to phrase that. 'Thanks for not washing the dishes. Whenever you leave a disaster in the sink, I feel the need to clean up and always feel better afterwards.' That sounded just plain sarcastic, which was not the intention.
Sorrel chuckled at how dumb that idea was. The sound actually startled him into silence. He hadn't laughed in years, and had honestly forgotten what his own laugh sounded like.
Even back in Asmodeus, he didn't laugh very often. Only to reassure himself that everything was actually alright. Maybe that was why he was laughing now, as a puppet of the government, a traitor of his pack, a deserter of his sister's memory.

A long time ago, or at least it felt that way...
The gyrfalcon soared on white wings through the skies over Asmodeus, sharp eyes focused on the ground beneath. He was hunting, not for prey, but rather for herbs to help in the pack's medical department. As a medic, Sorrel preferred natural cures over the chemical-laden nonsense of modern medicine.
Gradually, he aimed his flight path down towards the tree cover. Sorrel suspected he already cleared this area out, but he couldn't tell. His falcon form had a poor sense of smell, and he couldn't exactly shift into his wolf in midair. Sorrel was not a complete moron.
In the next instant, he regretted that thought as the branch smacked into him, knocking the wind out of his lungs. He was indeed a complete moron, or at least moronic enough to fly too close to the canopy. Blinded by the pain, he beat his wings frantically, but he had no idea which way was up and managed only to quicken his descent. He couldn't see a thing, only heard the sickening thud of his body against the forest floor before he lost consciousness.
When Sorrel came to, he had shifted into his human form again. He could tell, as his body felt much heavier. His head throbbed with a gnawing pain, and when he opened his eyes, the forest around him spun in a haze. Lifting his head was impossible. For a brief, panicked moment, he entertained the thought that he would die alone out here.
A familiar voice chased that terrifying thought from his head. "Sorrel? Are you there?"
Desperate to reply, Sorrel tried to call his sister's name. All that came out was a faint, slurred groan. He internally chided himself for being so pathetic.
It was only seconds until her face loomed over him. Her dark hair fell in waves over her shoulders and tickled his neck.
Sorrel squinted, but couldn't quite make out her blurred features. He grumbled under his breath in sheer disgust at his own idiocy. He was a dumbass, and now he was a medic down. What kind of stupid irony had he created?
"Ughh... my head," He slurred as he closed his eyes again. Even without sunlight, the forest was still too harsh and bright. "Can I go home, mum?"
"You are going straight to the infirmary," Sycamore told him.
This was going to be embarrassing.
"Aha... I'm fine," Sorrel insisted, even managing a weak laugh. His protesting proved quickly futile as strong, gentle arms scooped him up like a child. Grumbling under his breath, he clung to Sycamore's shirt as she walked him through the forest. His fellow medics would never let him live this down.
"So embarrassing... I'll die," He murmured as he buried his face in the shirt.
"Sorrel, it's times like this where you need to be calm. Do you know why?"
Oh no. Sycamore was about to turn this into another moralizing lecture. Sorrel hid himself further in the shirt, hoping nobody was around to hear him get scolded by his second mother. His sister, unfortunately, took this as the go-ahead to continue.
"Each one of us has a purpose in this world. That's what I believe."
"I know."
"My purpose, I think, is to bring hope. I've told you that already." Her voice was steady with assurance. "But, Sorrel... sometimes you don't decide your duty. Sometimes it finds you."
Another groan escaped his lips. Sycamore sounded like she was reciting lines out of some superhero movie, but Sorrel knew she wasn't. That made it even worse. How had such idealism survived in her heart after years of living in Asmodeus?
"When that time comes, Sorrel, you should be prepared for it. That's why I want you to stay calm when it's the hardest thing. One day, maybe everything will depend on you."
He highly doubted that. Honestly, his head just ached right now and he wanted a drink of warm water. Sorrel wasn't some hero, nor did he ever want to be. He lived in Asmodeus. Sycamore, on the other hand, her head was in the clouds.
Then again, this was probably her strange way of trying to comfort him. The least he could do was humor her efforts. "Fine," he grumbled, but that was all she was getting. He received a warm chuckle in return.

He was more of a moron than he ever thought. Back then, he had no idea who Sycamore was really talking about. Those words were only partially addressed to him. For the most part, Sycamore meant them for herself.
It was her 'duty', her 'purpose', her 'time'. She was talking about challenging Jennifer. In hindsight, Sorrel wasn't sure who was more foolish. Himself for not seeing the signs, or her for carrying out that stupid plan in the first place. Sycamore's idealism was bound to kill her sooner or later. Asmodeus was not a place where starry-eyed heroines thrived.
If anything, Sorrel was grateful to the officials for giving him somewhere to stay other than that hell. At least this was a better life than Asmodeus. Here he was imprisoned, but he felt free. It was an improvement over the pack's stifling false freedom that reeked of blood and death.
Now, if Sycamore was here, she'd tell him to stop moping and carry on with his life. Something like... Your purpose is not to sit here and feel sorry for yourself.
Sorrel honestly missed being lectured.

「 ♛ / DON'T PLAY WITH ME !! 」

███░░░x( )JENNIFERx░░░███

SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH HELL.
SO BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY,
FEAR HER WHEN SHE LOOKS INTO THE FIRE AND SMILES.

Jen had to keep herself from turning her head towards him and glare when he mentioned a child. I should've known. What was he thinking? Did he want the child to die? It was better off where he found it, not here. She didn't even put on a smile. Not like she really ever smiled, anyway. Not anymore. Drop the pity party, Jen. She nodded as Gavotte dismissed the pack, but allowed for questions. "Or, you can personally come and speak to either of us." The female added, scanning the crowd with icy blue eyes. Following Gavotte's gaze as he outstretched his arms and encouraged this new member to come forward. At least she could trust the kid, too naive to have been made to join the Shifters. Better than a mature adult who could very well be undercover. She watched the young girl carefully, curious if the attack had been for a specific reason or not. Jennifer wouldn't question her now, not yet. She doubted she knew much; if anything. And, it was far more likely Gavotte could get something out of her, probably trusted him knowing he saw what she went through. The Alphess held her arms at her sides, deciding if Gavotte was going to introduce the girl, Parlando should be here too. Stepping away from Gavotte for a moment, looking over her shoulder and mouthing that she was going to get their son, she walked up and interrupted whatever conversation was going on between the two. "Parlando, come with me. You're welcome to catch up with Ketsiah later," Jen turned away, expecting him to follow her. She hadn't known exactly what the two were talking about but that was the least of her worries ━ she trusted Parlando to take care of himself. He was smart, she didn't doubt that. She just hoped despite his dislike towards fighting, he'd do it when the time came. Otherwise, she might lose him just like his sister and her daughter, but she wouldn't let that happen. Not now, not ever. The Officials could throw anything at her. Stepping towards Gavotte, she took her position from beforehand but stood nearer to him. Not so far away as originally, which was far more professional. They'd look ridiculous if they were up there holding a pack meeting nearly on top of each other. They weren't lovesick teenagers anymore, and this was war. They'd leave the closeness and kisses to when they were in private. It wasn't comfortable, anyway. But for now, she'd ensure they looked like a family, which was what they were. Even if views were splintered. That didn't mean she loved her husband or her son any less.

███░░░x( 🗡 )LAWRENCEx░░░███

THE MOST DANGEROUS WOMAN OF ALL
IS THE ONE WHO REFUSES TO RELY ON YOUR SWORD TO SAVE HER
BECAUSE SHE CARRIES HER OWN.

Lawrence tuned in once again when Gavotte spoke, but, all he had to say was that he was there if anyone needed someone and that they were dismissed. Questions were permitted as well. She pushed herself off against the wall, shuffling her way out of the room. Leaving the house entirely. Having already trained, and now with the pack meeting over, she went ahead to go patrol in the woods. Covering the grassy land until it broke way into the woods. Delving further whilst avoiding broken twigs and branches that appeared to reach at her. They blew gently in the wind which picked up when the pack went inside for the short period of time. Regretting that she hadn't pulled her hair back, as her dark brown locks flew wildly. She brushed them back angrily, doing her best to take everything in through the loose strands. Finally, having had enough, she shifted. Her wolf form overtaking her human and leaving her on all fours. She lifted her muzzle, waiting to pick up on the scent of an Official dangerously close. They'd find the pack's location soon enough, already knowing the woods they were in. On top of that, the Alpha's home was extremely hard to miss literally being a mansion. She almost wished the family just lived in an apartment, but perhaps that would be even more dangerous. At least out here, it was secluded. An exception being the Officials and their pack of mutts hunting them down, on top of hunters. Hunters. The word caused her fur to bristle. The people that took her parents. For what? They caused absolutely no harm. Lawrence growled, her stride long, covering ground faster.

HAYDEN kept her amber eyes trained ahead out of both respect and fear for her alphas. It was no secret that Jen commanded the utmost attention form her pack members, and the warrior was certainly not about to test those waters. Though her focus was undeniably on the blonde at the front of the room, the broad shouldered redhead was still acutely aware of the smaller figure nestled in at her right side. The tall young woman could practically feel warmth radiating from Arden's body, not to mention the actual warmth she relished in from the light skin to skin contact. Unfortunately, the moment was cut short as Hayden felt the delta flinch away. Unwilling to compromise Arden's comfort, the fiery haired fighter quickly retracted her pale, slender hand from its place against the other woman's forearm. Quietly cursing herself, she refused to allow Arden that she had noticed; she fought valiantly against a blush that threatened to overwhelm her freckled face, her features remaining a stoic mask as she kept her eyes locked ahead. The speech quickly cut off, coming as no surprise to Hayden; Jen had never been one for sugar coating or wasting extra words where none were needed. Especially in times such as these it was a good skill to have, though a bit harsh and abrasive. If the pack was to survive this newest threat, they would have to face it with open eyes. With the corners of her mouth twitching ever so slightly, the stubborn woman turned on her heel as to finally face her companion. Hayden dragged smoldering amber eyes upwards from the floor, meeting a pair of warm, shimmering brown pools that practically had her melting in her sneakers. "It's a little funny isn't it? We were just talking about extra training and here we are being told to do just that. It must be a sign." she threw Arden a wink along with a wolfish smirk, though she meant no real harm. "I'd be more than happy to be your new sparring partner. I could teach you a few moves, help you shake off that rust." she teased lightly, the sharp smirk subsiding into an inviting and cheeky grin. Figuring that they'd soon be overstaying their welcome in the mansion, the fighter subtly jutted her chin towards the door.

KELLAN had made it a point to wander aimlessly about his new prison for the foreseeable future, his dark eyes sharp and inquisitive as he strode through the large and fairly empty halls with nothing but the company of his boots falling against concrete. Interestingly enough, the young man felt fairly at ease despite his current predicament, his calloused left hand grasped loosely around his right wrist as both hands fell deftly against his lower abdomen with every step. From what he could tell, there weren't too many like him quite yet and he could only presume that meant he was one of the first trials. Standing tall and broad, he cut an intimidating figure as he loomed through the murky shadows of the facility.

_____"Of course," she scoffed with a nod. They always had to work harder- but that was how she was raised anyway- the best was never good enough. "Help? No. Not necessary-" she laughed a bit, shaking her head. "I just ran out of time with this meeting going on," she shrugged. Each assassin had their own list of targets and she never would bother another with her own job. "I'll get her tomorrow," she nodded. Ketsiah laughed at his joke about his assistance with bread and shook her head. "Well I guess I know who to go to when I get hungry-" she winked, but quickly regretted it as his mother approached.
_____"Jen," she dipped her head in respect, the last thing she wanted to do was flirt with the Alpha's son... in front of the alpha. "I'll talk to you later," she nodded, taking a step back before turning to exit the building. Ketsiah was never too social, only when she was studying behaviors really. Being in a large room was often uncomfortable for her, but she knew she had to mingle with others eventually, just at her own pace.

_____The brute furrowed his brow a bit as he watched her every move. She was seemingly tense in her movements, but she moved without difficulty and didn't appear to need help- she was internally strong and he could see that. "Oh-" he mused, noticing her skip over his initial question. "Sure, let's go," he nodded, trying to push back his thoughts as to not make her uncomfortable or uneasy. Vaereck followed her down to the halls until they got to the hangout area- he hadn't heard of such a thing- a social zone in a prison- but this wasn't exactly a normal situation either.
_____"So that was fun," he chuckled a bit. "Told you I was a poor shot," he shrugged, taking a seat at one of the chairs pulled up to the table in the room.

_____Emily's wandering gaze had shot to Gavotte as she heard her name spoken, she froze for a moment as she felt a few eyes land on her. Never before had she been in a room with so many people, her parents were loners which often meant it was just the three of them. Emily was lost in a daze for a moment until the familiar face approached her once more. "I-it's okay-" she stuttered, not even thinking before reacting to his outstretched arms. The girl quickly closed the gap and hugged tightly around his legs, her heart feeling like it was going to beat outside her chest.
_____"I'm sorry I couldn't find the other kids..." she apologized, wondering if she was supposed to- but the only boy she had seen, Sam, had not been in the actual room and she was too afraid to leave. "A-am I in trouble?" she asked, her eyes welling with tears as she looked up at Gavotte.

Jackson scoffed as the woman left, following the pup. He sighed and looked at the official Astrid had made Jackson aware of. Jackson motioned to the official for him to follow the Elite. The male complied silently and followed jackson, the Elite led the official into his office, opening and shutting the door behind the man. Jackson looked to the man and raised a brow "What do you know of todays events."

After a long talk with the man, Jackson had as much information as he did to begin with. Nothing. The official had known nothing of the escape and was knocked out before he could see or know anything. Jackson huffed and dismissed the official, the threat of being fired was merely a tactic, Jackson never intended to lose and offical and a pup in one day. Stepping out of his office a moment later, Jackson sighed and pulled his glasses from the V in his shirt and put them on, running a hand over his head, the slender fingers running through his sleeked black hair. He needed a new tactic to find answers

As the shifter turned away from him, Alikea. He strolled around inside and to the rest of his pack. He stood by the fellow shifters but kept to himself. The male warrior grunted and crossed his arms over his broad chest and looked to the alphas. He listened intently but looked slightly to the side of them. His mind wandered off and he thought of the other traitors and shifters that must be trapped in their facilities. He rubbed the back of his neck, holding his hand there for a moment as he was deep in thought.

She smiled happy he didnt press it. Walking into the hang out spot. She knew Vaereck probably had a lot of questions about this place, she had some answer but not all of them. There was only a few oe I'll please around but not enough to make her uncomfortable. "You sure did, but hey everyone has their strengths and their weaknesses." She chuckled softly grabbing her own chair and pulling it up backwards and sitting where the chair back was against the table and she straddled it. She sighing noticing no food around she put her elbows on the table resting her hand in her palm. "So what can you do?" She asked softly looking over with a smile. Curious about his skills.

GAVOTTE TENUTO

Alpha Male 37 Peaceful Nature
Tagged: Emily

The Alpha Male almost stumbled a bit when Emily wrapped her little arms around his legs. Letting out a warm chuckle, he picked her up and held her as he would a baby. She was getting heavy, but still young enough to be carried. The little tyke probably had a couple more years to go before her growth spurt. Gavotte hadn't ever seen her parents, so he had no idea what the girl would look like fully-grown. Big or small, she would still be an adorable baby to him, even if she ended up being six feet tall.
"Don't worry, Emmy. You've had a long day." Gavotte patted her on the back, careful not to let go. He wasn't strong enough to carry a seven-year-old with one arm. "You're not in trouble. I'm sorry I had to leave you, there was a meeting for the whole pack. The pack is like my family, even though most of us aren't related. You're one of us now."

PARLANDO TENUTO

Alpha Heir 18 Calm Nature
Tagged: Ketsiah, Jennifer, Emily

Parlando also ended up laughing. His offer of help seemed kinda silly in hindsight. He was a baker, a diplomat, and a prince of sorts. None of those jobs involved hunting down and murdering people. Sure, his mother's fiery blood ran in his veins, but he preferred peace like his dad. Baking bread was his greatest talent and he wasn't gonna beat someone up with a fresh loaf.
"Yeah, you do what you do." The young man chuckled. "I'll do what I do, meaning you can stop by afterwards and grab something to eat. Any preferences? I'm thinking of baking a-"
Their conversation was interrupted by his mother. Parlando nodded to Jen silently, then waved goodbye to the assassin. He followed after the Alphess without another word.
His father was fussing over a child Parlando had never seen before. Blonde hair, blue eyes... The sight jarred Parlando at first, but he quickly dismissed the thought. It would be silly to assume Grazioso was somehow back.
Jen had probably called Parlando over to introduce himself to the kid, so he waved hello and gave her a friendly smile. "Hey kiddo, I'm Parlando. You can call me Pearl. Those two are my dad and mom," He explained as he gestured to Gavotte and Jen. "So, I'm assuming you're my new sister?"
