☞HAYDEN couldn't quite help it as her amber gaze was drawn to the lightest dusting of pink that had scattered across Arden's cheeks, a soft smile forming on her own pale lips. The delta's nervous smile somehow comforted the fighter, the butterflies storming in her lower abdomen beginning to subside as her usual confidence began to ebb back into view. "I think everyone's been on edge as of late, so the stronger we are the better. Training is also a great way to distract the pack from what's going on." she mused, brow furrowed slightly at the notion of the chaos that was inevitably building around them. The secluded forest wouldn't protect them forever. "Maybe we could even get in a sparring session together. I'd go easy on you of course." she bantered playfully, her voice gravely as a wolfish grin morphed her features. The red haired young woman was always one to try and lighten the mood, and it seemed as this was as good a time as any to relieve the tension of the outside world. Hayden felt her mouth twitch slightly as her smile faded, smoldering gaze following Arden's towards the looming beast of a house that sat brooding in the distance. Hayden watched on for a moment as the pack's delta began the easy trek towards the alphas' home, still a bit shell-shocked that the pretty young woman had agreed to spending more time with her. Quickly, she picked up the pace, stumbling after Arden as she masked the bewilderment on her freckled face. A sense of foreboding had nestled in her chest, a feeling she couldn't quite shake despite being in the presence of an actual goddess. Despite the uneasiness, she could undoubtedly try her best to hide it and make the most of her time with the delta. "So- any thoughts on what exactly this meeting could entail?" she queried, attempting to make small talk to both ease her nerves as well as hear Arden's melodic voice again.

Astrid turned around and began to walk, going down the hall to where he was, the official who had down her shot. She went right past Iris, almost walking into her. She led Jackson to the official, and then stood still, watching Jackson.

Jackson looked to the girl, then he flinched and his head snapped to Iris as she came through the door towards him, he frowned subtly at her, she was seemingly unamused by his actions and he almost scoffed, like it was her choice what he does, its the other way around. The Elite raised a brow to her and motioned to Atrid as she turned and made her way down the house "Finding our official." he then followed the pup with intent.

Once she froze in front of an offical and looked to the offical, then to Jackson. He frowned and looked at the official, then back to Iris down the hall and smiled as if teasingly "See. Now isn't she better now?"

Iris wasn't even close to amused; following regardless. When he turned to her to speak, however, it rubbed her the wrong way. "If you'd rather people mindlessly follow orders, with no respect for you as an individual, just fear and distaste.. Sure" She replied, her tone smooth and almost sweet. He was coming dangerously close to reminding her of her father- arguably the reason she was in this position. That wasn't a good person to remind her of on a good day, and it wasn't a good day. "She's new. You shouldn't be doing this so soon, she's just going to hate you more." She added, lowering her tone. She didn't consider herself too overwhelmingly empathetic, but she had some sense to her in regards to what was ethical and what wasn't. Regardless, Astrid had cooperated before he decided to interrupt them with his temper tantrum.

Astrid stood nearby, still and unmoving. She stared at Jackson, patiently waiting for her next order. She didn't hear what their conversation was about, only listening to hear him tell her what to do next. She barely blinked, keeping her gaze on the official, her posture stiff.

Jackson raised a brow to the woman. He huffed and subtly rolled his eyes, the woman showed empathy to the creatures that have been terrorising their town and homes for generations. They have killed his own family many years ago, it's why Jackson has such a passion to get rid of these damn mutts that plague his town. Jackson frowned to Iris and his mind went to think of the official, rather than being interested in the woman words.

"Fear is what brings a person power, Iris. She can fear and obey me. I have no means nor intention to create a bond with these pups, they serve me and this cause, when it is over they will be sent back to their lives being none-the wiser. We want the job done fast and smoothly, no emotions attached." his tone was course and lacking any remorse or tender emotion to the pups. He turned to Astrid and pointed the remote from his pocket to her and pressed the top right button, deactivating the serum in her veins and de-corrupting her mind "Welcome back."

The blank mask washed away from her face and she stared at Jackson, making her expression emotions will some struggle. She didn't want him to know what she was thinking or feeling. She didn't want to give him the satisfaction of making her afraid of him, but also didn't want to give him a reason to do it again. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to keep herself from shaking. Her memory was jangled from the serum, and she could barely remember what had happened while she was under it. But she remembered the pain and terror and she was struggling to keep from showing it. She didn't move, staying as still as she could.

When she didn't immediately find someone to talk to, Aryn realized that she didn't really want to talk, she had just been looking for someone to help fill the gap left by Marsaili being gone. She sighed and decided to go out on patrol; after all, that was her job within the pack. She shifted and loped into the trees, focusing all her energy into the task at hand: checking the borders of their territory and keeping an eye out for anything strange. After a while, though, she got bored, and decided to head back towards the alpha's HQ. When she got there, she heard shoreline mention a pack meeting. . . It was a good thing she'd come back, otherwise she'd have missed it. She stood rather awkwardly outside, not wanting to walk in alone.

Desiree frowned when Damien didn't pick up, even after several more attempts to reach him. Oh well, I'll contact him later. I guess for now I'd better figure out who else was present this morning. . . Of course, that would be hard seeking as how she had not been there. But she'd manage. She always did.

Iris scoffed, dropping her niceness. "Fear brings a person hatred and a life of being loathed. If you want that, you go right ahead but don't jeopardize the project for your little power trip. You talk about it like it's a one night stand and you can just go home in the morning, and life goes on. It's not. This will have a long term impact on everyone involved, and it is up to us-" She paused, gesturing between them. "-to insure that that impact is minimal. The last thing we need is people who only have reason to listen when they are, quite literally, made to. Try being a leader, instead of acting like this is SimCity" She concluded, her tone sharp, not bothering to curb anything. "Are you done with her?" She snapped, gesturing towards a rather disoriented looking Astrid. She was a master at the whole no strings thing, but that didn't mean she didn't understand everything that was going on. His way of doing things, in her mind, could have serious blow-back.

Arden hummed in agreement at Hayden's explanation, her gaze trailed to the woods surrounding them as she spoke. "Agreed. I wouldn't be able to function without a way to get my mind off of things," she admitted. At Hayden's mention of sparring together, Arden couldn't help the fierce blush that spread like a wildfire across her cheeks. With a returned yet nervous smile, she replied, "Sure. Just know I won't hold back either," she teased lightly. At her next question, Arden shook her head, "Not really, I'm afraid. But I bet it has something to do with recent events," she guessed.
